Mother And Daughter
“Good. This is a burner phone so once you make the call, we will throw the phone away so that it can’t be tracked. So you have less that 2 minutes before they could use it to track your location so you need to be fast and convey your information to your mother.” Alfredo said.
“Tell her that you are safe and that she shouldn’t worry and that she should try to meet you at Hall book library tomorrow by 9am then you would explain everything to her.” Raven said.
Anisa nodded and then dialed her mother’s number.
Anisa quickly dialed her mother’s number on the burner phone. The tension in the room was high as they all waited for her mother to pick up.
“Come on, Mom,” Anisa whispered anxiously as the phone rang.
After a few heart-pounding moments, her mother’s voice came through the line. “Hello?”
Anisa felt a rush of relief and anxiety all at once. She had to be quick and careful.
“Mom, it’s me. Listen carefully. I’m safe, but I can’t talk for long. I need you to meet me tomorrow at Hall Book Library at 9 am. It’s important. Don’t tell anyone. Just come alone.”
Her mother’s voice trembled with worry. “Anisa, what’s going on? Are you in danger?”
Anisa’s eyes filled with tears as she replied, “I’ll explain everything tomorrow, Mom. Please trust me. I love you, and I need your help.”
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and then her mother said, “I’ll be there, Anisa. Please be careful.”
Anisa quickly hung up the phone and handed it to Alfredo. “We did it. She’s coming tomorrow.”
Raven nodded with approval. “Good job, Anisa. Now, we need to prepare for tomorrow’s meeting. It’s a critical step in unraveling this mess.”
Alfredo looked at the burner phone and said, “We’ll dispose of this safely. Anisa, you did well. Tomorrow, we’ll get your mother on our side, and together, we’ll bring down your father and Don Rizzo.”
Anisa felt a mixture of hope and anxiety. The pieces of the puzzle were slowly coming together, and the truth was within reach.
That night Anisa couldn’t sleep because of eerything she had heard that day. Her father being a terrible man working for a bad politicians and cleaning up his mess.
Offering to give her to the wicked man to molest just for power. Killing her favorite uncle Martinez to cover up his tracks as well as Don Rizzo.
She never thought her father was a bad man since he kept all those things secret from her.
But she guessed her mother knew about it but also kept it a secret to protect her and her brother who is studying in school.
She decided to go to the kitchen to get a glass of water. As she got to the kitchen she saw Raven sitting there obviously she couldn’t sleep as well.
“Couldnt sleep too?” Raven asked.
“Yeah…. I’m just so nervous about tomorrow and also everything I just heard and seen.
I couldn’t believe that my father was this terrible and I always thought he was the best father in the whole world.” Anisa said.
Anisa’s words hung heavy in the quiet kitchen. Raven listened attentively, understanding the weight of the situation.
She spoke softly, “Anisa, sometimes the people we love can disappoint us the most. It’s a tough truth to accept, especially when it’s your own father.”
Anisa nodded, her eyes filled with tears.
“I never imagined he could be involved in such terrible things. And now, my mother… I hope she’ll be okay when I see her tomorrow.”
Raven placed a reassuring hand on Anisa’s shoulder.
“We’ll do everything we can to keep both of you safe, Anisa. Tomorrow is a crucial step in bringing justice to those who deserve it.”
Anisa wiped away her tears and managed a faint smile.
“Thank you, Raven. I don’t know what I’d do without you and Alfredo.”
Raven returned the smile.
“We’re a team now, and we’ll face this together. Now, why don’t you get some rest? Tomorrow will be a long day.”
Anisa nodded and headed back to her room, still carrying the heavy burden of the truth she had uncovered about her father and the dangerous world of Don Rizzo’s criminal empire.
Sleep didn’t come easy that night, but she knew she had to be strong for what lay ahead.
The next day morning, Raven and the rest of the team, Alfredo, Alfonso and Alejandro went along with Anisa to the Hall Book Library hoping that everything would go according to plan.
“Remember, Anisa you tell your mother everything and tell her to leave your father or he would kill her as well since she knows too much.” Alfredo said.
“Guys, what if she doesn’t want to leave Ramos? Have you guys ever thought of that?” Alfonso asked.
“Yeah… I mean if she has been with Ramos for this long, don’t you think she enjoys being with him?” Alejandro asked.
“Well… while discussing with Adelina then, I knew that your mother didn’t like me very much because your father wanted to marry me and your mother wasn’t happy with the fact that he wanted to take in another wife after the other mistress he married.
So she gave me a murderous looke that day, but I wasn’t scared of your mother. I told her then that I could poison Ramos with any chance I get.
I mean she came into my dressing room when I was preparing to get married to your father and threatened me.
I don’t get scared of anyone’s threats so instead I told her to watch her back.
So she may not be comfortable seeing me. So I’ll stay out of this mission for now.” Raven said.
“Wait a minutes! You almost got married to my father?” Anisa exclaimed in surprise.
“Yep, but trust me it wasn’t willingly.” Raven said.
“Your father, Ramos threatened to kill her uncle and feed him to his pet shark if she doesn’t accept to marry him because he loved Raven’s boldness. For no one had ever challenged his authority like Raven.
Even till now, he finds her annoying because she’s like a pest that just won’t disappear.” Alfredo said.
“So we rescued Raven and I tried to kill your father for revenge for what he did to someone I loved dearly, but decided not to kill him.” Alfonso said.
“We thought taking Raven away from him would make your father feel bad, but we found out that Raven hated your dad so much and wanted to kill him as well and so we decided to work together.”
“Woah!
That’s a whole lot of shit right there!” Anisa said.
“So you would have become my step mother if they hadnt come to rescue you that day?”
“Yeah, but I planned on killing your father for the pains he had caused me. He killed my parents and then killed my uncle right before my eyes.” Raven said.
“That’s terrible.” Anisa said.
Anisa listened to the shocking revelation about Raven’s past with a mix of surprise and sympathy.
She couldn’t imagine the pain Raven had gone through, and it made her own situation seem even more urgent.
“That’s unimaginable, Raven,” Anisa said, her voice filled with empathy.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“I’m so sorry you had to go through all of that because of my father.”
Raven nodded, a steely determination in her eyes.
“It’s in the past now, but we can’t change it. What we can do is make sure your father and Don Rizzo face justice for their crimes.”
Alfredo added, “And that includes helping your mother, Anisa. We need her cooperation to bring them down.”
Anisa took a deep breath, trying to prepare herself for the meeting with her mother. She knew it wouldn’t be easy, but she had to try.
“Let’s focus on today,” Anisa said. “I’ll do my best to talk to my mother and convince her to leave my father. We can’t afford to lose this chance.”
Alfonso and Alejandro nodded in agreement. “We’ll be here to support you, Anisa,” Alfonso said.
With determination in their hearts, they waited for Anisa’s mother to arrive at the Hall Book Library, hoping that this crucial meeting would be a turning point in their mission to bring down the criminals who had caused so much pain and suffering……
