The Ninth Bride (Samantha and Finley)

Chapter 273

Chapter 273 I'm Not Easily Fooled

"As for today, I'll overlook your little escapade upstairs," Daphne said, her voice cold and authoritative. "But should you ever attempt such a stunt again, don't blame me for being harsh and having Mr. Dean show you the door." Emily stood before Daphne, her head bobbing up and down in a show of submissive understanding.

"I understand, Ms. Stuart. I assure you, there will be no next time. Absolutely not," she promised fervently. "Then, leave."

"Of course."

With her gaze lowered, Emily exited the hall, her steps heavy with dejection. The moment she was outside, her demeanor shifted dramatically. That insufferable old woman had nearly caught her in the act of spying on Samantha and Finley. If it hadn't been for that unexpected interruption, she would have seen everything.

After all, she was merely a housekeeper at the Dean Residence. Who gave that woman the audacity to treat her so?

Just you wait, you h*g. I'll make sure you rue the day you cross me.

...

Upstairs, Samantha reviewed the footage. She had filmed several segments, but something still felt amiss. The movements were accurate, the lip-syncing was precise, and the scene was properly arranged. Yet, the resulting videos felt strangely off.

Samantha's gaze fell upon Edmond, who was still lounging and smoking. Her voice was frosty as she said, "Mr. Cyan, you shouldn't be smoking while I'm working."

His mouth was left with the bitter taste of his cigarette.

At her command to stop smoking, he hastily threw away his cigarette and asked, "Mrs. Dean, this pack of cigarettes is nearly finished. How long will you need to finish filming?"

"The filming is done," Samantha

replied, "but no matter how I look at it, the video doesn't quite match the original, We'll need to reshoot. For now, you should take a break while I review the footage to figure out what went wrong. We'll start over afterward."

Edmond nodded and reclined on the couch.

Samantha replayed the video numerous times. Despite watching it over and over again, she still found it odd but couldn't identify the issue She handed the video to Finley "Finley, from an outsider's perspective, can you see any differences between this video and the original?"

Differences? Finley pinpointed the problem. "In the original video, the man and the woman were really involved in something. But in your video, Mr. Cyan is merely pretending and not actually doing anything." Exactly!

That was the heart of the problem.

The maid nearby was not the type to engage in such behavior. It was impossible for them to replicate the atmosphere of a bar accurately.

Thus, a bar was the only solution for the shoot.

Samantha put her phone away and addressed Edmond. "Get up. We're heading to a bar to reshoot."

Edmond looked taken aback. "Mrs. Dean, I'm not the type of man who would do that."

"I understand," Samantha replied. "I won't ask you to compromise yourself. These maids are all respectable women. No matter how well they mimic, they can't capture the essence of bar hostesses. So, we need to go to a bar for the shoot. Let's aim to get this right tonight."

After explaining, Samantha packed up and prepared to leave. Seeing this, Finley quickly followed. "Sam, you can't go to a bar alone. What if something happens to you? What am I supposed to do?" She turned to him, her expression resolute. "So..."Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
