CHAPTER 37
Traizle
“What do you think, Traizle?” Zarsuelo asked excitedly.
Well, he’s asking me about his new project. A project that is not related to his work and his company.
He wants to make a playground on the ground floor so that his employees’ children can play while their parents are working and FOR HIM TO PLAY WITH THEM.
That’s the main reason why he wants to build one.
“I want to make a big playground on the ground floor. I will have three or four onlookers to make sure the children are safe.” he added.
He is more interested in doing this project, unlike the new project that the marketing team did. He even didn’t mind our new possible investors that I told him about, saying he would entertain my report later.
“Still, it is not right, Zarsuelo.” I answered.
“But I want to see some kids. Should I ask the building beside us to move? So that we can build a kindergarten?” He asked with his high-paid ideas.
He suddenly talked about this topic when he saw one on his computer.
While he was playing on his computer, yes playing, he saw an advertisement on his YouTube notification. He stopped playing and watched the ad over and over again.
That is how we ended up in this kind of situation.
I don’t know if he is this lonely or if he really wants playmates like Layzen. Layzen, on the other hand, is not complaining; he is content as long as he has someone to talk to.
Layzen is much more mature than this oddball Zarsuelo. How did his grandparents take care of this big oddball?
“I talked about this before with the project team, but they said they were not sure about it as well. Why? I can’t seem to understand your point.” Zarsuelo asked.
“It’s because it will be a mess if that project you are insisting happens. It is not part of their work and your work. That is why they are not sure about that as well.” I answered, trying to explain to him why.
I was about to answer him when I received a call. I quickly got my phone from my pocket and saw the Snack Bar owner’s name.
“Yes, Boss?” I asked.
I can hear loud noises from their line, the sound of something that there is a commotion in the Snack Bar.
“Can you help me-stop! Hey!” I heard the owner shouting from the other line.
I think there really is a commotion out there.
“I’ll be there,” I said, not bothering to wait for the owner to respond. “I need to go, I will be back later.” I told Zarsuelo, while keeping my phone.
Zarsuelo held my arms. “Why? Is there an emergency?” He asked.
“I think so. That is why I need to go and check it.” I answered.
“I will go with you.” he replied.
I just nodded at him. We immediately took a cab to the Snack Bar.
After a few minutes, we reached the Snack Bar and saw people surrounding it. There were definitely a ton of people crowding the Snack Bar.
“Excuse me!” I shouted as I rushed to the door. “Give way for me!” I added.
As soon as I enter the Snack Bar, there are a few men surrounding Archane. Two of them are holding him. He has many bruises on his face.
“What’s happening here?” I asked, looking at Archane and the other guys who are making a mess here.
They all looked at me.
“What are you doing here?” Archane guy asked, wondering how the hell I got here when it was not the time of my work.
“I am asking what the hell happened here?” I asked again, looking at him directly.
“He threw his money at us. I don’t know if his family is now getting poor or what. Working in this petty snack bar-”
I did not let him finish his sentence-I punched him.
“What is your problem!?” He growled.
“I am a worker here. I don’t care if his family is getting poor or what, you are ruining our Snack Bar.” I answered.
One of his men tried to get a hold of me, but I kicked him first.
“That won’t do for me,” I added. “You guys are wearing the same uniform. It must be your school uniform or your gang uniform?” I mocked.
“We are from a prestigious university. Don’t you know this uniform?!” One of them answered angrily.
Prestigious University huh?
“Is that so?” I retorted. “Your school is prestigious, but their students are disgraceful?” I added.
The man tried to punch me as well. Luckily, I dodged it.
“Benedict, you guys should stop this!” Archane guy growled.
He knew them.
We felt a relief when the police came after.
The owner, Archane guy, and me went to the police station to give our statement.
I wonder where Zarsuelo went.
After giving our statement to the police, we went back to the Snack Bar.
Kelvin and Zarsuelo greeted us worriedly.
“Where were you?” I asked.
“The people outside a while ago knew me. They surrounded me. I was able to get out when the police came as well to help me.” he answered.
“What happened? Why is the Snack Bar a mess?” Kelvin asked worriedly.
He is out for delivery, so he really doesn’t know what happened. “Everyone, Boss, I am sorry for what happened today.” he commented.
I faced him. “You said from the station that you guys are from that prestigious university. So why did they do that to you and to this Snack Bar?” I asked.
“They have this so-called rich disease.” he answered. Wiping the blood from his mouth.
“Rich disease?” Boss, Kelvin, and I followed up with him.
“It means you are arrogant because you are rich.” Zarsuelo answered.
He has it as well.
“And then?” I asked again.
“They really like to see other people’s weaknesses, to shame them, and use them as their card in school,” Archane guy said. “I will pay back everything. Don’t worry about that.” he added.
“Care to tell me why you decided to work here?” I asked.
I knew that there was something wrong with him. My gut feeling told me that he was a rich type, and I confirmed that he really was.
“I would like to have experience,” he replied. “Yes, we are rich, but it doesn’t mean I can’t try anything I want to do, right?” He asked back.
“Of course, I wanted to do that as well, but was not able to do it.” Zarsuelo commented.
“I just hope it won’t happen again. It will affect our Snack Bar reputation.” The owner said.
We cleaned the place quietly, aside from Zarsuelo, who kept on asking the owner to work here as well.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
