Throughout the time, she was looking at the glass of lemonade that he had prepared for her. When she didn’t hear anything from Calvin’s end, she lifted her eyes and looked at him, who was eating cookies.
It observed him carefully from top to bottom; He was just in shorts. It looked it he had a habit of eating something just after arriving from the training because he looked very hungry by the amount of dedication he had toward his mini-breakfast.
‘He is damn too handsome.’ She studied his body. Her eyes couldn’t leave the sight of his nipple.
“Done staring at me?” He mocked, and finally, their eyes met again.Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
“Don’t get any wrong ideas. I have seen better. I was just comparing them in my mind.” She said, feeling her cheeks flush slightly. The moment she lied, her heartbeat rose, and she mentally prayed in her mind that he couldn’t hear it.
“Really? I didn’t know you liked doing such things.” Calvin mocked her, finishing his mini-breakfast. Ethlyn was about to answer him when she saw a lipstick mark on the left side of his neck.
“Wait!!” She quickly left her seat and stood in front of Calvin. “Whose lipstick’s mark is this?” She questioned, feeling extremely angry.
“You said that you have no one in your life except Rose,” Ethlyn asked, getting irritated for no reason. Calvin chuckled and pulled her close to her, grabbing her butt. “Are you getting jealous?” he asked, leaning toward her lips.
Ethlyn quickly changed her face in another direction, “Alpha… Alpha Calvin, this is not… not the answer to my question.”
“Why’re you turning your face away, huh? Look into my eyes if you want the answer to this question.” Calvin whispered into her ear and enjoyed how much she was getting affected by his touch, his voice, and everything related to him.
Ethlyn looked at him before speaking, “I have never seen a shameless man like you who wants to admit his affairs by looking into my eyes.”
“This is the lipstick of the woman who….” He paused, increasing the suspense for Ethlyn.
“Who?” Ethlyn questioned. “Who is your mistress?” She filled in the black instead of noticing their position.
“Who is in my arms right now.” Calvin corrected her with a chuckle.
“That’s a lie. I didn’t do anything.”
“Really? Didn’t you wear lipstick of this color yesterday?” He questioned, shutting Ethlyn’s mouth. Both Calvin and Ethlyn had no idea when she ended up leaving her lipstick mark on his neck. Maybe when he carried her in his arms or maybe when she snuggled in his chest, hiding her face near her neck.
It was Calvin’s friends who observed that mark. Calvin immediately wanted to remove it, but he let it be to show the pack members how close he was with Ethlyn, and the fact that he had a faint scent of Ethlyn on him was also helping him to prove that whatever they were watching and smelling was true.
He forgot to clean it even after returning from training.
Little did he know, the person who was behind it was demanding an explanation about this lipstick mark. He couldn’t help but feel amused by her behavior. Ethlyn’s cheek turned crimson red when she realized that she was getting mad at Calvin for no reason.
She wanted to earth to open and swallow her so that she would be saved from this embarrassment.
“I’m…
“Sorry again?” Calvin mocked her, cutting her in between. “You don’t think twice before opening your big mouth, do you?” He questioned. Ethlyn started, looking at the floor, feeling guilty.
“Aahhh!!” She hissed in pain when Calvin pinched her ass as hard as he could. That was when she realized that his hand was still on her ass. “What kind of behavior is this?” She questioned, trying to remove his hand from her butt, but he grinned, enjoying her wiggling left and right in his arms.
“There is a party at Zordan’s place to welcome female Beta officially in the pack. Even my parents will attend it, and they would be disappointed after learning what the mother of their granddaughter did the last night?” He grinned. Ethlyn stopped wiggling, and her face paled.
She knew that she wasn’t a woman who drank on a regular basis. Hell, it was the second time she drank yesterday. The only mistake that she made was she crossed her limit to the extent that she wasn’t even able to walk.
“You won’t tell them anything,” Ethlyn warned.
“Try me,” Calvin smirked. “And do you know what mom and dad hate those who drink?” he stated more as he asked.
“Please, you won’t. I’m sorry for that.” Immediately Ethlyn’s voice turned soft. She didn’t want them to think of her as a careless and irresponsible mother of this incident. “I drank so much confidence because I knew I was with you and also because I knew that you won’t take advantage of me. Because I trusted you. Please, please, please, don’t portray me as a bad woman in front of your parents.” She requested.
“Go. It’s time to wake up the princess.” Calvin said, removing his hand from her.
“You… you won’t tell about last night to your parents, right?” Ethlyn asked.
“You will stay a second more than YES.” The moment Ethlyn heard this, she flew from there. Calvin smiled, shaking her head.
‘Because I trusted you.’ Her words rang in his mind. He opened the fridge to check what he had to cook for breakfast, but that smile didn’t leave his lips. ‘I drank so much confidence because I knew I was with you.’
