The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

Chapter 1025

Felix's expression darkened further as he glared at the Skeletal Demon. "Kevin Beasley? Is it the same person I'm thinking of?"

He couldn't forget the Dragonia Martial Arts Competition. He'd nearly killed Aiden then. However, Aiden's mentor, Kevin, had appeared and saved him.

The Skeletal Demon swallowed nervously, terrified of saying the wrong thing. "I know Kevin spent many years in the capital before returning to Martial City. I'm not sure when exactly he came back."

That confirmed it. It had to be Aiden's mentor.

"What does he want with the Dragonspine?"

The Skeletal Demon shook his head, his face pale. "I don't know. I don't even know how he found out I had it. I got that thing a year ago."

The Dragonspine was already in Kevin's hands. Any further questions felt pointless.

"How do we find him?" Felix asked.

The Skeletal Demon gave a bitter laugh. "I swear I have no idea, sir. Kevin was always elusive, and now I've got even less of a clue where he might be."

Felix sat alone on the bed, stewing in frustration. He'd been so close, and now Kevin had snatched victory from him.

Upon seeing this, Ophelia opened the door. With a casual wave of her hand, the Skeletal Demon was flung through the air. Before his body hit the ground, his head had already separated from his shoulders.noveldrama

"Don't let it get to you, Felix," Ophelia said as she walked back in. "Unless someone cultivates the Dragons Destroyer technique, they can't truly absorb the Dragonspine. So, keep heading in the right direction. One day, you'll definitely cross paths with it again."

Felix sighed. Alas, there wasn't much else he could do.

"Ophelia, does Ghosttown really not have electricity?"

When he arrived yesterday, he'd noticed there wasn't a single electrical device in the house. He wanted to charge his phone. After all, living without it was too inconvenient. Now that the matter with the Skeletal Demon was settled, it was time to return to Deborah.

"There's electricity," Ophelia said. "Go out, take a right, and you'll see a house with lights on not far from here. That guy runs all kinds of shady businesses and has a

generator. Leave your phonel

with

him, and when it's charged, come back. I have something to discuss with you."

Ophelia's confidence made it clear that anyone with any sense in Ghosttown knew their relationship and wouldn't dare harm Felix.

Sure enough, when Felix arrived at the lit house, the burly, one-legged owner greeted him with an obsequious grin. "Rest assured, sir. Once it's fully charged, I'll deliver it to you myself. I won't touch a thing!"

When Felix returned, Ophelia's expression had grown much more serious. "Felix, do you know about the Three Forbidden Lands in Martial City?"

Felix nodded. Of course, he knew. He'd just come out of Echo Cavern, one of the Forbidden Lands. "Yes. They're Echo Cavern, Corpse Town, and Misty Ridge." Anyone who entered Martial City was warned about them. Wandering into any of these places meant a near-certain death.

"Mr. Hoffman sent me to Martial City ahead of time to study these Forbidden Lands," Ophelia said.

"Study them?" Felix's curiosity spiked. "What do you mean? Are you saying there's some kind of secret to these Forbidden Lands?"

Ophelia smiled faintly. "That's right. The people of Martial City call them Forbidden Lands because they're tied to matters of the soul. No

matter how powerful a warriore

are, venturing inside almost always means certain death."

Felix nodded. He'd experienced Echo Cavern himself, and the soul-bound dagger,

Lumen, was still lying quietly within his spirit.

"Does this have something to do with the Destiny Crystal I obtained?"

Ophelia paused, contemplating his question before she responded.
