The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

Chapter 1045

Two weeks later, at Harmony Clinic's headquarters, Ezra personally held a banquet to congratulate Felix. The results of the assessments had been revealed, and Felix had achieved the title of an advanced alchemist.

In Martial City, there were very few who could refine advanced pills. So, during the assessment, only three other alchemists were in the running alongside Felix. One of them had evidently failed.

"Felix, whether my unworthy grandson can achieve the mastery of Transcendent Realm depends on you," Ezra said.

Dickson pouted and said, "Well, well, well, so you've revealed your true colors, Mr. Whitwell."

Ezra shot Dickson a glare and said, "How dare you say that? Didn't you promise Felix you wouldn't pick your nose from now on? I don't know who said before that even if you were threatened, you would never let go of that habit."

Dickson was helpless. What else could he do? He had also wanted to master Transcendent Realm. Now, Felix was his fastest way.

Only Deborah had a warm smile. She didn't care about anything else—it was already a great blessing to her to see her mentee be this successful.

After thanking a few people, Felix asked, "Mr. Whitwell, ingredients for the Ascension Pill are extremely rare, especially Solaris Root. I can always refine the pills, but I'm worried I wouldn't have enough ingredients."

To his surprise, Ezra laughed. "Didn't Deborah tell you? Don't worry about it! Since Bern and Deborah are the only two who can refine Ascension Pills, they haven't seen an increase in their success rate for many years.

"Due to that, they rarely attempt to refine the pills anymore. Over the years, ingredients for the Ascension Pills have piled up. I don't dare to say that I can supply unlimited amounts, but just know that I have a lot in stock.

"Of course, there are more ingredients in the royal family's collection, but neither side has interacted on such matters."

Felix had previously asked Deborah before. The top alchemist in Martial City was Bern, followed by Deborah, and the third was followed by someone from the Yorkers in Denverville.

But since the royal family was so powerful, why couldn't they occupy the top three spots? The answer Felix had gotten left him speechless.

It turned out that the royal family never participated in the ranking of the four major cities. For example were the Top Ten Menaces really the top young talents in Martial City? If that was the case, then there had to be someone in the royal family who was far superior to the Top Ten Menaces, right?

This was the same for alchemists. The royal family had their personal alchemists, and no one knew of their levels.

All of a sudden, an old man ran in. Although he didn't speak, he sent a clear message to Ezra.

"I understand. You may leave," Ezra said.

The smile on Deborah's face faded. "Mr. Whitwell, what's wrong? Is it related to Felix?"

Ezra smiled bitterly. "That's about right. The King had heard of a talented alchemist called Felix from Harmony Clinic getting promoted to an advanced alchemist today. He issued an order for Felix to be rewarded in the Imperial City."

Dickson asked in confusion, "Isn't that a good thing? The royal family can't just

take Felix away. Why are you upset?"

Ezra and Deborah gave each other a look and shook their heads.

"There's technically no issue with the procedure, but Bern and Deborah had

experienced it in the past. For some reason, there's something unsettling about

it."

With a sigh, Deborah stood up.

"Since Mr. Whitwell said so, I'll call Shepherd over. He's been quite envious of Felix for some time now. With him and you, there would be two Transcendent Realm experts. That should be more than enough to thwart trouble." noveldrama

Who would dare provoke two Transcendent Realm experts unless they were completely foolish?

After giving it a long thought, Ezra turned to Felix.
