Chapter Thirty-Six
"NAT? WHAT HAPPENED?" I HEARD ASHER'S VOICE.
"Some bastard played a prank on me by freezing my milkshake and turning it into a pop-fucking-sicle!" And I didn't bother hiding my annoyance from them. "They are probably laughing at me and feeling amazing for using the magic I once had, against me," I yelled.
None of them said anything.
Of course, how could I forget? They also don't believe I once had magic. If Valerian doesn't, imagine those two... It's frustrating, but I can't blame them, seeing that they don't have memories. And neither do I have any proof. There's no use trying to make them believe in me anymore. It's useless. Doing so would only make me tired and stressed. I mean... more than I already am. "Take a deep breath, trying to calm down," Kate spoke, calm like a waveless ocean. Irritated, I turned my head to the window, and when we arrived at *White Rose Boutique*, only Asher came out to bring the girls the food. Because knowing myself, if I were to interact with them in the mood I am, the probability of me saying things I shouldn't and will regret are high.
So, we headed back to Greenhall Castle. But it was just to encounter my family's carriages heading out for the ball dad mentioned before. Mom, dad, and Val were in the frontal while the other two were in the second carriage. When they saw me, dad and Val asked the coachman to stop.
I was already on my foot, and Kate and Asher weren't with me anymore. "Hi, Tasha," dad exclaimed with the window opened. "How was it? Are you fine?" As if he was actually worried.
"Everything went smoothly, dad. I just didn't get the designer for my room, but-"NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.
"I'll do that tomorrow. So, are you okay?" Less work for me.
"Yes. I'm alright, just tired." Then I turned my eyes to Val, and he seemed worried about me. "Have a good ball, kiddo. Enjoy for you and me," that made him smile.
"I will. But you are looking awful, Nat. You need some hours of sleep to recover your beauty," what a smartass.
"What a comedian," I blurted sarcastically and saw my mom scowl. How laughable.
They got back to follow their way to the Palace. While Octavian and Dalilah purposefully opened their window when passing through me to say:
"Oh, Dally," that's how the bastard calls her. I never could because I thought it was an annoying nickname. "Prince Christopher will be mesmerized by your outstanding beauty," ugh, his name makes me want to puke my organs off. "He'll sure be in love and will start courting you."
Well, trash always sticks together with the trash. That's why trash cans exist, so they can hang out in their habitat. They might think I would get jealous, but I only feel pity.
Pity for the sphere, I mean. Padaman must suffer having to house those bitches. People like them shouldn't even be considered part of the human race. That way would be easier and less troublesome to kill them.

And they kept talking, "Godmother said she'll try to help me getting his heart," she means the Empress. Not like she needs that because, at this point in time, Christopher already loves Dalilah. But the Emperor still wouldn't let him get engaged to her, that only made her even more furious and thirsty for the innocent Princesses' lives.
She's a mess. We, unfortunately, have that in common.
"I know him. He already is in love with you," then, his eyes turned to me with vile intentions. "And no one can take that away from you."
I rolled my eyes, annoyed, and kept walking. The only thing I want from that bitch who organized my execution and tortured me for a fucking month and took away my eyes from me in brute force; is his body in pieces and his head on a plate. That's what I want.
Leaving them to go to this damned ball, I got back inside. Went to Dalilah's chambers and chose a bag full of the clothes I enjoyed. After leaving, I went to my chambers, put the clothes in the dressing room, and headed to my bathroom. Refusing to ask for any help.
When my bathtub was full of freezing water, I lay down and relaxed.
I know it might seem strange for me to feel comfortable bathing in freezing water and not in hot water like most. But I believe it might have something with the nostalgic feeling of having ice magic that it brings me. And that itself is what makes me cool down my nerves. Literally...
Moreover, as I said before, the cold never bothered me.

Oh, and it also brings me the sensation of being home in Leopenia because it's freezing cold in the eternal winter of the land. It's really amazing to train there because it strengthens our body and constitution. That might be why it's my dad's territory and the base of the Imperial army.
Finished with my bath, I dressed in some nightclothes and asked Kate to bring me some sandwiches, brownies, and coconut doughs, with a jar of strawberry-banana milkshake. After I got my food, I told her I would go to sleep after I finished and locked my doors, telling her not to let anyone bother me.
Of course, it was a big and fat lie!
There is no way in hell I'm sleeping. Since I killed Valerian, my parents, and Ash that night, I began to have sleep paralysis and to be tormented by the ghosts of those who died by my hand. I'm sure it will still happen because I may have traveled to the past, but my traumas didn't stay there. They came with me.
I'm tired, but I'm used to not getting much sleep because of it. Books are my best friends at times like this. And that's what I'm going to do.
Remembering the book Asher was talking about today, *Eyes of Death*, I headed to my personal library and tried to find the book. Then, I returned to my bed and began reading with the food on the side of the bed. Doesn't matter what I do to accomplish that.
I cannot, under any circumstances, go to sleep!
