Chapter 134
"It's really you, Ana!" Gideon exclaimed.
Overwhelmed with joy, he immediately steered the time machine toward the plane and flew along with it at a moderate distance.
He planned to go find Analise once the plane landed. But less than two minutes later, the plane began to shake violently.
Strong turbulence and air pressure made it impossible to stabilize, and it started to plummet.
With the spiraling plane blocking his view, Gideon prepared for the worst. He was aware that if it crashed like that, Analise would undoubtedly die. He remembered she had once told him that she was nothing but an ordinary human.noveldrama
There were plenty of people on that plane, but the time machine's energy was limited. He couldn't save them all. The machine could only teleport a few people to another location.
Without hesitation, he entered Analise's data into the system and rammed the time machine into the tumbling aircraft.
A flash of white light appeared-and then Gideon was back in the lab. But Analise was nowhere to be seen.
The time machine's power was also completely drained, and it couldn't be used again.
Panic gripped Gideon. But later that night, he saw a headline trending on Cosmoseek that a pure human female had consoled an S-grade male.
His gut told him that it was Analise.
Through the interstellar network, he found information on that pure human female. Just seeing Analise's name alone was enough to keep him awake all night.
He knew his Analise, who had descended from the skies, had come.
Gideon was relieved that he'd succeeded and that she was still alive.
Back then one of his trusted aides had noticed Nelson acting e suspiciously, so he had been forced to stay behind at Shadowhawk Alliance to keep tabs on Stormclaw Alliance.
By the time he got the news, Analise had already left for Ironhorn Alliance. He rushed there immediately and stood right in front of her-only to realize that she didn't recognize him.
She looked at him like he was a total stranger.
Realization dawned on him. This was Analise, but not the one who had traveled to his childhood from the future.
She had once told him something like not getting sad if she couldn't recognize him in the future—everything would be fine once she eventually remembered him.
"You're so adorable and handsome. I'll definitely pick you as my mate," she had once said.
But she had also said that perhaps by the time she met him again, he would have to face off against his two love rivals.
This thought made Gideon's expression shift slightly, though he still had a smile plastered on his face.
"Why are you grinning like an idiot?" Analise smacked the back of his head.
Ever since he saw the time machine, he had been acting unlike himself. She'd
ignored him at first, too busy ogling the advanced machine.
But after she'd finished observing the time machine, he was still standing there like a rock, with an odd smile on his face. He looked kind of dumb and also... a little creepy.
"Nothing." Gideon shook his head and tried to change the subject. "Ana, do you want to check out the other stuff?"
He wasn't sure if she wanted to use the time machine to return to her original timeline. When it came to her, he just couldn't resist acting selfish.
What do you think?
