The World of Beasts: She's Got Their Hearts

A cool sensation spread across Analise's wrist. She looked down to find a silver bracelet that Gideon had slipped onto her.

It appeared to be woven from a unique material, adorned with several small beads in different colors like emerald green, ice blue, and light yellow. Coincidentally, they were all her favorite shades.

Analise counted them. There were five emerald green beads, two ice blue ones, and one light yellow one. Inside each bead, delicate threads of light shimmered, like tiny, vibrant filaments.

"It's for you."

Gideon took a small step back, creating some distance between them, and spoke softly. "Touch the bead you want to explore. After it scans your iris, there's a surprise inside. Each one holds something special." He smiled brightly, the bird feathers on his head swaying in the breeze.

"Huh? Why are you giving me this?" Analise asked, her eyes filled with curiosity as she looked at him.

Gideon just smiled and didn't answer her question.

Analise frowned, but her fingers instinctively brushed against one of the beads.

At once, it emitted a soft, radiant glow, and Gideon's voice echoed. It was not from him directly but from within the bead itself.

"Ana, iris recognition will unlock a surprise."

His voice was different from his usual light and deliberate tone, carrying a calm and gentle sincerity.

Blinking in surprise, Analise lifted her gaze to Gideon, only to find him occupied, listening to a male voice reporting something to him.

"Iris recognition successful. Your eyes are as beautiful as ever, Ana."

The voice spoke again, and in the next instant, a virtual space unfolded before her.

The first thing Analise saw was the aurora, its colors shifting and dancing across the sky.

Back in the human era, it had only been visible in Northcrest or, if you were lucky, in certain provinces of Velmora.

She had always longed to see it, but never had the chance.

How did Gideon know?

As she turned, the virtual space dissolved, retracting back into the bead.

"This looks just like a real aurora. Gideon, how did you do that?" Analise asked, her eyes still wide with surprise.

"Can I tell you next time we meet? I need to head back and take care of something first."

Gideon stepped closer and pulled Analise into a hug.

This time, his voice was soft as he whispered in her ear, "Ana, I've missed you so much."

Analise froze. What did he mean by that?

Before she could ask, Gideon had already turned and walked away.

"Mate, if you miss me, come find me at the Shadowhawk Alliance."

Gideon waved a hand, his toneel.!

This time, he truly left.

"He called me Ana? Did he say he misses me? And give me a bracelet?"

Analise watched his retreating figure, lifting her hand to examine the bracelet on her wrist. Her thoughts swirled in confusion.

Had Gideon mistaken her for one of his sisters?

"Ana, since when did you start hanging around that lunatic from the Shadowhawk Alliance?" Finlay asked, as blunt as ever.

"I don't know him. Today was the first time we met," Analise said, still glancing in the direction Gideon had disappeared.

"He doesn't seem crazy, so don't call him a lunatic. And his name is Gideon," Analise said, pinching Finlay's therian ears.

"Okay, okay, I got it." Finlay tilted his head, his gaze shifting to Analise's wrist with a peculiar expression. "So he's deliberately trying to get close to you? Hmph!"

Without bothering to hide his frustration, Finlay opened his core screen and began bombarding his good brothers with messages.

He gained two more rivals in a single day. How could he not be anxious? And to

make matters worse, they were both stronger than him!

Unlike Finlay, Scott remained much calmer.

Though he was just as jealous that Gideon had hugged Analise, she hadn't pushed him away and had eccepted his gift. So, in the

end, Scott chose to hold his tongue.
