The World of Beasts: She's Got Their Hearts

Chapter 66

"How exactly does this type of contract work?"

Analise was still a little confused about the whole binding process.

The books she had read only touched on it briefly, never going into much detail. Then again, she admitted to herself, she probably hadn't been reading the right kind of books.

She wasn't sure if forming a contract was like getting a marriage certificate in the human era, where you went somewhere, got a document, and signed and stamped it.

"It involves tattooing the female's true form on the male's left wrist. But since you're purely human, Ana, we'll tattoo your human form instead," Finlay explained.

Before she could process his words fully, he pulled her into a hug, lowering his head to kiss her.

He couldn't help himself. Getting a positive answer from his little female made something deep inside him stir with instinctive joy. He wanted to hold her, kiss her, and do so much more.

"Then what about the females? Do they get tattoos too?" Analise managed to ask, her lips barely parting.

Finlay took the opportunity to deepen the kiss, stealing her breath until she had to push him away.

Tattoos were just body art, but Analise wondered if the tattooing methods in this interstellar beast world were the same as those used in the human era.

She had heard they were quite painful.

"No, females don't get tattoos."

Finlay's body reacted instinctively. He lifted Analise into his arms and gently placed her on the bed in the resting cabin.

"A female's body is delicate. How could we subject her to tattooing?

"Instead, a special binding necklace was crafted, strung with different starstones. Each of the starstones represents a mate. The color of the starstone indicated the male's spiritual power level, with his true form engraved upon it.

"In the past, this was used to distinguish mates of different ranks. But I heard that nowadays, they mostly use green starstones engraved with the male's true form.

"After all, a male's spiritual power level can increase over time, and females with strong soothing abilities are allowed to take on more mates.

"After some males experienced an increase in their spiritual power, they wanted to change the color of their starstones, which led to significant trouble. To prevent further issues, the Interstellar Alliance standardized all starstones to green."

Finlay tucked Analise under the blanket. "Get some rest, Ana. It'll be dark soon, and I'll make you something to eat."

With that, Finlay hurried out of Analise's cabin.

Raising an eyebrow, Analise watched his retreating figure. He was probably off to take a cold shower to cool himself down.

Was it really that intense? Just a kiss, and...

She lay there for a moment, lost in thought, before turning her focus inward and calling out to Echo.

Without Echo, Analise felt uneasy.

Echo was like money in the human era. One might not use it all the time, but one couldn't be without it. It

could be incredibly useful in critical moments!

"Echo? Echo?"

No response.

The connection was still there, but there was no reply.

"Echo? Are you there?"

She tried calling several more times, but silence was her only answer.

With no other choice, Analise opened the system panel to check her current purification value.

The panel displayed her purification value: 3,500. She needed another 1,500 to level up.

3,500...

Today, Analise had soothed Karl, an SS-grade male, along with Clarice and four other S-grade males.

Clarice probably didn't count.

That meant soothing an SS-grade male earned her 1,500 points, while an S- grade male gave 500.

Before reaching rank 2, she had only soothed Finlay, an S-grade, and Derek, a newly advanced SS-grade. That added up to exactly 2,000 points. 500 from Finlay and 9,500 from Derek.

But why didn't Clarice count? Was it because she was half-robot?

Yet the Vexoth venom had been real... hadn't it?noveldrama

Analise couldn't figure it out, so she decided to stop dwelling on it.

For now, all she needed was to soothe a few more males to earn the remaining purification points and reach rank 3. Once that was done, she could unlock the reward store and purchase other essentials.

In an unfamiliar world, having the right survival tools was crucial.

With that in mind, she considered getting a portable space, which was a must- have for any transmigrator.

While the interstellar Therian world had pocket drives available to everyone, these mass-produced items were prone to damage in battle.
