Through The Eyes Of My Alpha Chapter 55
Chapter 55
Through the eyes of my alpha Chapter 55
BETA DOMINIC. “Again, Jenny. Where did she go? ” “Alpha, I don’t know. She didn’t tell me. I told you everything I knew and where I dropped her. “I appreciate your loyalty to your Luna, but you just put her in danger by letting her go. So don’t make me fucking roll off the Alpha command on you before you tell me everything else! ” “Alpha!
My mate is not lying, and I will not allow you to roll off that command on her!
And please stop blaming Jenny or us for letting her go because we fucking all know she left because of you!” The Alpha’s eyes blazed with fire, and I knew it was only a matter of time before his wolf would take over.
I needed to butt in.
“Jenny, you may take your leave.
Sebastian and I will handle this.
” “No.
I didn’t get what I needed from her.
” I went to Jenny’s side and held her arm, nodding at her as I guided her towards the door.
Sebastian was watching, but I knew he was in agreement with me.
We needed to put Riley back on his feet and leave Jenny out of this.
“Fuck you, Dominic!
Who’s the fucking Alpha here?
” I closed the door after Jenny left before I turned around to meet his raging eyes.
“I don’t see an Alpha here.
And instead of you channeling your anger to Jenny, why don’t you find a way to find Nadia before it’s too late?
” “I don’t even fucking know where to start!
” He yelled before turning his gaze to Sebastian.
” Send someone to the neutral city and a nearby city to check if they can scent Nadia there.
” “I will do that.
But can we get to the bottom of this?
The Luna told Jenny that you told her to fuck off and leave.
Now we want to know why?
” “That’s none of your business.
” “It is.
She’s our Luna.
If you were right about asking her to leave, why would we waste time looking for her then?
Maybe she’s better somewhere away from here!
” “What?
Fuck you!
I don’t care if she did something wrong or not!
I want her back here!
She’s fucking mine!
” “Yours?
But you have the audacity to tell her off!
What’s going on with you?
Have you lost your mind?
with all due respect, Alpha, that female was the best thing that ever happened to you, and you just told her to fuck off?
For what reason?
Did she refuse to fuck you?
” In seconds, the Alpha was already in front of me.
His hand coiled around my collar as he threatened to throw a punch at me.
“Didn’t I fucking warn you never to talk about her that way?
” “‘Then explain what happened!
” I snapped back at him.
I was losing my patience already. Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
“Can we calm down?
This is not helping anything.
” Sebastian’s voice cut the tension between us, Only then did the Alpha loosen his hold on me and brushed his hand over his hair in frustration before he walked to his desk.
He crouched down and reached his hand into the waste bin.
Sebastian threw me a confused gaze, and I just shrugged my shoulders because I was baffled by the Alpha’s actions as well, but none of us said a word.
Alpha Riley picked up a crumpled piece of paper and tossed it at me before he slumped his body into his chair.
My eyes followed his every move, and I could see the tiredness and the pain crossing his features.
But there was no one to blame for his misery but him.
I darted my eyes back to the paper in my hand and straightened it before reading everything written on it.
I kept shaking my head, and no matter how I kept reminding myself that the Alpha had a reason to be angry with his mate based on the letter, I have complete faith in my Luna.
She was nothing like the female depicted in this letter.
I let out a deep sigh before handing Gamma Sebastian the letter as I walked and stopped in front of the Alpha’s desk, my hands slipping into my pockets.
“So I assumed that instead of believing the Luna, you believed whoever this fucker is, right?
And you told her to leave because you think everything she showed you was just a lie?
” He didn’t answer.
Our eyes were staring off at each other.
“You let your insecurity eat you up again.
” I leaned my palms on his desk, my eyes still fixed on his.
“Did you let her explain?
” He shook his head.
“Fuck!
” I blurted out as I threw a punch in the air as my body made a 360-degree turn.
“How could you?
What made you think she planned all this?
To’entice you and then abandon you once she has obtained what she wanted from you?
“She didn’t want the Luna ceremony!
She didn’t want to bind herself to me!
” “Did you even ask her why she didn’t want to have the ceremony?
” “She’s not ready.
” “Then she’s not ready!
You can’t just force it on someone who grew up not knowing what a Luna does!
Her pack didn’t have a Luna either!
She probably just didn’t want to dive in on a position she knew nothing about.
” “You should have used the Alpha command on her you were so willing to roll off on Jenny,” Sebastian added.
“I would never use it on her.
” “So it’s fucking better to accuse her of something rather than get to the bottom of the truth?
” “Can we stop this?
We need to find her.
” “But you need to understand where you’ve gone wrong?
Or this will be a vicious cycle.
She’ll come back and one misunderstanding, you will tell her to fuck off again!
” “I don’t think she will come home now.
She probably hates me after everything I told her.
But I want to make sure she’s okay.
” The Alpha was a fucking mess last night.
It was way past midnight when Sebastian and I called it a night, but he remained in his office.
We already formed a team that went looking for the Luna with the strict instruction to keep everything they knew top secret.
No one has to know that she’s not at the pack house at the moment.
He also sent out someone to trail Benedict Solange.
Benedict Solange is the son of the mayor of the western territory and the man to whom the sender of the letter was referring.
And although I didn’t believe a single thing in that letter, I just let the Alpha do what he wanted to do for his own peace of mind.
“So, are we betting on what kind of Alpha we will get today?
” I asked, a smirk forming on my face as I shifted my gaze between Sebastian and Jenny.
We were at the dining table eating breakfast, and Alpha Riley was nowhere in sight.
I went to his office earlier and he wasn’t there, but his scent was still fresh.
He probably stayed the night at his office and just went somewhere when dawn broke.
“What do you mean?
” Jenny asked.
“Just wondering if we’re going to get a sulking Alpha, like what happened to him months ago.
“I chuckled a forced one.
“Or a ruthless one, like he was during the time Andrea was here.
” Gamma Sebastian added as he let out a deep sigh.
“We’re going to find out soon,” I told them since I had already heard big footsteps approaching.
In just a few seconds, the Alpha appeared by the dining room entryway.
He had already changed his clothes, and from the looks of it, he showered too.
“Alpha,” we greeted almost simultaneously.
.
He nodded his head in acknowledgment before he spoke.
“I’m going to the neutral city.
I already contacted the manager of the train station.
He would show me the CCTV for yesterday.
Maybe I can see Nadia and what train she took.
” “I was at home this morning.
Dad will meet a friend at Hartly City.
” It was the city next to the neutral city.
“He will drive around after his meet-up and see if he can spot the Luna there.
” “Thank you.
” “And Alpha,” I added, to which he just hummed a response.
“I spoke with Mom.
She told me the Luna was excited to come home to you yesterday, so she could tell you that she was ready to have the Luna ceremony anytime you would want to have it.
” I saw the Alpha swallow hard, and his eyes flitted with remorse.
“The Luna has been religiously studying the geography of the territory and the traditions,” Jenny added.
“She was spending time with Katya so she would get an idea of how a Luna should act during ceremonies and meetings.
She didn’t want to disappoint you.
” “I think I should go now.
” He said it the moment Jenny stopped talking.
“Alpha, eat something.
” It was still Jenny.
“You didn’t eat anything yesterday, and the Luna specifically told me to make sure you don’t miss a meal.
Please don’t make me disappoint her.
” He remained standing by the entryway, and silence was in the air except for the beating of four hearts.
It took a while, but the Alpha moved to his feet and sat on his chair.
A weak smile slowly tugged on my mouth as I picked up the coffee dispenser and poured coffee into his cup, It wasn’t easy to babysit a stubborn Alpha.
But someone has to do it.
