too late for a second chance novel (Lila and Dorian)

Chapter 510

Lila thought, "Since when can I be so happy after earning 20 dollars?"

She had no clue as her husband could earn millions or tens of millions in a few

minutes. Happily, she said, "Let's continue."

Kieran nodded and continued to scratch the card. Unfortunately, getting rich in

one day didn't happen to him.

Lila found it a pity, but she paused and decided to comfort Kieran. "You already

did a great job." As she said that, she patted him on the shoulder.

Kieran raised his eyebrows again. When the two left, the owner of the lottery

store, who had been confused for a long time, asked, "Was that the president of

Morgan Group just now?"

"I think so," the staff answered while scratching his head, confused.

Holding the 20 dollars, Lila pulled Kieran to the side and bought two cups of fruit

tea. She inserted the straw and handed it to him. "Kieran, are you happy today?

"Although you earn a lot, don't you feel happy when you slow down and

experience life?"

It was the first time Kieran thought he was slow. It turned out that Lila brought him

to buy a scratch-off and a cup of fruit tea to let him relax and be happier.

He lowered his gaze and looked at her before lightly pulling her into his embrace.

"With you around, I'm happy doing anything. Nova's cat food is about to be

finished. I wonder if you're free to accompany me to buy some."

...

One day before the weekend, Lila sent Noah a message about her wanting to go

to the hot spring. After confirming that he would go, she sent Ruby a message.

Ruby replied very quickly. She even mentioned that she would meet up with them

before going to the resort together.

When the day came, Ruby came over to Vermilion Estate. Then, Kieran drove the

car and set off with her and Lila.

Landon welcomed them in person when they arrived at the resort. Upon seeing

Ruby, he was momentarily stunned. While she went to grab the luggage, he

asked Lila, "Why is she here? I didn't invite her."

"I invited her. Anyway, it's for fun. The more the merrier."

Landon scratched his head. He didn't say anything else. He didn't hate Ruby, but

no one in the circle liked to invite her to events.

There were taboos between the government and businesses after all.

Nonetheless, since Ruby had come, Landon couldn't kick her out.

The few of them entered the resort

together. As Landon liked to have

fun, his events were always lively.

Before all the guests arrived, the

outdoor cocktail party was already

happening.

Initially, Noah was sitting by the side.

Upon seeing them, he got up and

walked over. He reached out to take

Ruby's luggage. When he noticed

Landon wasn't holding anything, he

asked, "Where are your manners?"

Landon felt wronged. He already had

some reservations about Ruby's

identity, but he politely offered to

help but was declined just now. He

didn't have the courage to repeat his

words. Upon seeing that Kieran

didn't say anything, he didn't insist

on helping.

Ruby thanked Noah. Then, she glanced at the people having fun over there. "It's

really lively."

Noah asked, "Is this your first time here?"

After thinking for a while, he found his question unnecessary. He chuckled and

said, "Let me help you with this. In a while, I'll take you to the hot spring. The

environment is great."

"Uncle Kieran." Noah greeted Kieran. "You guys should go to your room and settle

down first. We'll meet up later."

"Wait for me!" Amelia arrived late. "Let me stay in the room next to Lila."noveldrama

Ruby turned around and looked over. "I want to stay next to you guys too. Can I?"

Noah grabbed her arm and walked forward. "No, you don't want to. You're staying

next to my room. Landon has already arranged the rooms."

As the West family owned the resort, Landon could indeed arrange the rooms.

When they had left, Landon scratched his head. "I didn't arrange the rooms."

Everyone could choose their own rooms!
