Chapter 524
Lila almost laughed at how insincere Andy's words were.
He didn't even respect Faith, his own biological sister, let alone her. What kind of ridiculous joke was he telling?
Lila forcibly pulled his arms off her and took a step back. She positioned herself behind Kieran, in case this lunatic acted out again.
"Kieran, Andy truly realized his mistake and has sincerely apologized. For my sake, could you give him another chance?" Dennis took on a pleading posture.
Harrison chimed in, "That's right, Kieran. This was never a major issue. If this reaches your grandfather or elder brother, won't it affect the relationship between our families?"
Lila frowned. Why did that sound like a threat against Kieran?
"Mr. Moore, this is between Andy and I. You're the ones making it a big deal by dragging family relations into it."
Both men turned to look at her, their gazes faintly scrutinizing.
What an ignorant woman! Who was she to interrupt when they were speaking?
She appeared gentle and weak but turned out to have such a sharp tongue!
Dennis quickly adjusted his expression. "Lila, don't be angry. Andy has indeed been spoiled by me since he was young. I know you're upset, and I've already disciplined him on your behalf."
He then lifted Andy's face for Lila to see, revealing a handprint on his cheek that had yet to fade.
This act only deepened Andy's humiliation. He felt like a monkey on display for her entertainment.
"Moore Jewels has just released a new necklace worth a million dollars. We came here in a rush and didn't bring it with us, but I'll have someone send it to you tomorrow.
"My intentions are pure. I just want to make it up to you, Lila. If you're still dissatisfied, feel free to punish Andy as you see fit."
Lila's expression remained unchanged as she listened to Dennis.
She truly despised Andy. He was a useless, unaccomplished scumbag who thought that just because he was a man, he could belittle and insult women by calling them a bitch or cheap. People like him were simply a waste of life.
But now that the two families had been dragged into this matter, she glanced at Kieran. He was already looking at her with a gentle and calm gaze, silently telling her to follow her own heart.
Lila instantly understood and gave him a small smile.noveldrama
She then turned to the Moore family members. "There's no need to send the gift, and make sure that Andy stays out of my sight from now on. As for his past insults, I won't forgive him. It's already very late; please leave and don't disturb our rest any further."
The Moores were clearly surprised by how tough she was. She had rejected a million-dollar gift without hesitation.
Was she truly indifferent, or did she want more?
Dennis ground his teeth as he looked at Kieran, while the latter merely lifted his gaze coolly.
"Still not leaving?"
Seeing Dennis' face darken, Harrison quickly pulled him aside while saying, "It is indeed late, and we should've planned this better. We'll leave now. We'll prepare a proper gift and visit again to apologize."
"That won't be necessary. There's nothing left to say between Andy and I. However, this will not affect the cooperation between our families, so there's no need for a formal apology."
Dennis glared at her. "You!"
Harrison quickly dragged him away, while the Moore family bodyguards pulled Andy along. The group swiftly exited the room.
Once they reached downstairs, Andy shivered with fear under Dennis' piercing glare.
"Dad, please don't hit me again. I'm your son."
Dennis narrowed his eyes. Son?
He wasn't his only son!
If this one was truly hopeless, replacing him wouldn't be a problem.
What do you think?
