We Will Collide Someday

Chapter 485

Chapter 485

Chapter 485 Be Realistic

“Hubby. You like it? Then should I say that again?” Thalia asked in a normal tone.

After all, they had registered their marriage, so Thalia felt comfortable saying that.

However, Finley didn’t reply immediately. Instead, he looked at her with

an innocent and expectant face.

Thalia was shocked for a moment.

“Don’t tell me you’re going to blush for this?”

“Why can’t I?”

Finley answered weakly, his voice not confident.

Thalia willfully flung her arms around his neck and tiptoed to kiss Finley on the lips.

“Why are you so cute?”

Finley took the opportunity to hold her around the waist and said.

“You are also cute.”

“Do you have to go back to the hospital to work later?”

“No. I came after I finished my shift,” said Finley as he opened the car door for her.

Thalia looked at the time. It was already three o’clock.

“It’s a little late…”

She answered weakly and laughed dryly at Finley.

He stared at her silently. They reached a tacit understanding.

“You can’t do this again,” he said, unwilling to let go.

Thalia was ready to listen to his nagging, but Finley only said.

“If you feel uncomfortable anywhere, tell me at any time. Don’t hide it from me.”

When he returned home today, he found the house empty.

It felt like a hole had been dug into his chest.

He was not in a hurry to drive and gripped Thalia’s hand.

“Why do you look more nervous than I am after I am pregnant?” Thalia asked with a

smile.

“Not really.”

Finley kissed her on the back of her hand before starting the car.

“I had been nervous before you got pregnant. As long as I didn’t see you, my heart

lurched.”

“I’m an adult. I can take good care of myself. Don’t treat me like a child.”

Although Thalia said that, she felt warm.

Finley looked indifferent, but he was always patient with her.

They had been together for so long, and Finley had never yelled at her

once.

Sometimes, when Thalia provoked him, Finley only sulked. Not long after, he would

try to cheer her up.

“It seems I have caused you trouble.”

Finley narrowed his eyes, looking a little disappointed.

Thalia immediately felt guilty.

“That’s not what I meant. Don’t think too much about it.”

“Let’s go home first.”

A smile touched Finley’s eyes.

Finley and Thalia’s wedding was approaching. Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

Thalia had been planning the wedding recently.

She did not hire any team and did everything herself.

Alexa was afraid she would be tired, so she came to see Thalia every day

and asked several designers to help.

When Alexa arrived at their house today, it was already afternoon. Thalia

just woke up.

“How do you feel today? I heard from Dr. McMillan that you haven’t been resting well

recently?”

“Maybe it is because of the early stage of pregnancy? But when Finley is

by my side, I can rest well.” Thalia yawned.

“He’s been busy with your father’s matter recently. He will have time

after that.”

Thalia didn’t say it, but she was quite worried about her father.

However, after Finley took over, he told her good news every day, so Thalia was not

so nervous.

“My father has been taken care of by my mother recently. Previously, “Then do you

want to go to the hospital to take a look? I will go with you,”

Alexa said.

“I will go there later.”

Thalia bought fruits and tonics.

Before Thalia came to the hospital, she didn’t tell Elena, so when Thalia

came to the ward, everyone was quite surprised.

Chuck was sitting there, and Thalia was a little annoyed.

“Thalia.”

Elena called out to her, her eyes red. Obviously, Elena had just cried not

long ago.

James was awake, but he looked haggard.

“Dad.”

Thalia said softly and placed the things on the cabinet.

“Where have you been these past few days?” James didn’t look happy.

“Thalia, where have you been? Finley said that you were not in good health recently

and had been recuperating?” Elena asked.

“Yes.”

Thalia chose the farthest seat and sat down.

Chuck poured her a glass of water, and Thalia’s face turned even colder.

“What are you doing here?”

“I’m free today. I came to see James.”

“I have hired a nurse to take care of him. You don’t have to come. Don’t

think about getting any benefits from me,” Thalia said bluntly.

“Thalia, I won’t do that.”

Chuck was still polite, which made Elena feel sorry.

“Thalia, how can you talk to Chuck like this? He is concerned about you,

so he comes to us every day to find you,” Elena said with a straight face.

“Oh, that’s unfortunate. I am living with Finley,” Thalia said lightly.

Chuck’s face turned pale from her retort.

James looked displeased.

Sensing they had something to talk about, Chuck found an excuse to go

out.

As soon as the door closed, James asked.

“You haven’t broken up with Finley yet?”

“No. Why would I do so?”

“Thalia, be realistic. You can go out with him, but you have to marry

someone who can help you in your career,” James said.

“Yes, Finley is just a doctor, and he is not sophisticated,” Elena said.

Previously, because of Chuck, Finley had only been polite to Elena and James when

he saw them.

Elena was always biased against Finley, so now she even thought less of

him.

“He works in the hospital. There are many young girls around him every day…”

“He is a doctor. Of course, many people are around him.” Thalia was so protective of

Finley, so Elena and James looked unhappy.

“Chuck is a good man. He is filial and driven. He likes you and doesn’t

mind your past,” Elena said.

Thalia listened with a faint smile.

“I am pregnant,” she said.

With a clang, the glass in James’ hand fell to the ground and shattered.

“What did you say?” Elena and James asked in unison.

“I’m pregnant. The child is Finley’s. We are married. Now we are

preparing for the wedding,” Thalia said in a flat tone.

“Thalia, why didn’t you tell us about this? Why didn’t you discuss it with us?”

Elena was so angry that her face turned red, and she gasped violently.

“Why should I discuss it with you? Haven’t you decided to pick Chuck?” Thalia asked

calmly.

“He helped our family a lot and even found a doctor for your father.”

“Help?” Thalia sneered, “With his help, the Crompton Group’s stock has

fallen for a week. The board of directors still thought it was my problem and never

doubted Chuck.”

James was most concerned about the company, so after Thalia finished

speaking, he did not immediately retort.

“Investigate it first,” James said gloomily
