Chapter 60 Somebody was pronounced dead
Before Ziu Lee left the next day, he had a picnic at the pool side with the guys for the last time, and Ruby seized the opportunity to invite Opula over so she could meet with Ziu, whom she had been clamoring for. Before the arrival of Opula, Ziu and the guys had a brief discussion and he mentioned calling Fanny early hours of the day to brief him about their meeting; and afterwards Fanny complained about a certain lady he would love to marry but he seemed to be at log ahead with a man over the girl.
“Does anyone of you know the man in question?” Ziu Lee queried, casting a stern look across them and expecting a positive reply.
The three of them looked at one another and raised a surprised brow to convince him there was none they could think of.
“But you should have asked him the man,” Ruby suggested with a forced smile that hid any suspicion.
“Yes, boss, you should have asked him the man, because for all I know we area unaware of what you are talking about and Fanny being a man of secret you barely could tell any thing about him.”
They looked at each other again and cast an emphatic stare at Ruby, who busied himself with a cigar now.
“I just want to know and meet with the man, and if possible pay him off to let the girl be for Fanny. I believe this man in question could be poor and nothing to equate to Fanny in all ramifications. Except death, nothing is impossible for billionaires. We go for the best of everything; best of houses, best of cars, destinations and women. I really felt for him over the phone. He sounded very bitter.” He reached to his flute of wine
“Boss, forget about Fanny. He is not a toddler. He has the affluence and exposure to charm any woman he so desires,” said Johnson, and stared across the other billionaires to ensure he was speaking their mind.
“I know he is not a toddler but we have to be our brother’s keeper. Any woman is not a wife. From his voice I could perceive his seriousness to marry the lady in question. I want you guys to try and fish out the man. As soon as you fetch him, ask him his price. I am willing to pay him any sum of money just to bring back the girl to the arms of Fanny and see him happy again.”
“Ok, boss,” replied Ruby “We would do just that.”
At once Opula walked into the arena, and stood beside Ruby. They all beheld as Ziu sat from his chair and adjusted himself. He gazed at Opula from head to toes; her elegant, toned face, with thick, seductive lips, eyes and nose; the diamond crested gown which was gifted to her by Ruby, her contemporary, modest shape in the gown and the mountainous buttocks that filled the gown. Ziu lee couldn’t stop staring at Opula.
“Wow your woman is dashing, I must confess,” Ziu said, staring at Ruby. “She must have cost you a lot to keep because I know many men would be dying to have this dashing lady including me,”
Opula blushed. The rest of them laughed except Ruby who kept at his smile and smoked on.
“What is your name, young lady?” he asked Opula, with his face full of smiles that may not disappaear any moment.
“Opula.” she replied gently, “And you?” she asked.
“I am Ziu Lee, the youngest billionaire and the best thing that has ever happened to the ICT business the world over. I wish I could steal you away from Ruby and make you mine forever.”
Opula forced a smile. You will die soon; she said in her head.
They clapped for him at once and eulogized him.
“You are welcome to meet with the richest pals in China. Whatsoever you want, anything you need just mention it and it will come, bowing to you.” He stared at Ruby, “And Ruby I know you mean well for her? I look forward to seeing you both loved up as husband and wife soon.”
“Of course, I will walk her down the aisle soon. I just can’t wait to make her my wife before greedy men steal her away from me.” he said; with his face all smiles and full of life now.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.
And Johnson and Zhang stared at Ruby to question his last statement; they knew Ruby was really out for the worst action Fanny might take against him. They had warned him to let Opula go and not to extend the romance more than what it was. Since Fanny had professed his love for Opula, walking her down the aisle might sound problematic because it was going out of the context of the game. In the history of the game, they had only slept with the women they won as prize, and never dated them let alone walk them to the altar to be married. Things were going to be worse and hectic for Ruby and Fanny as they fight over Opula.
The bartender walked in at once with five flutes of wine, stealing a glance at Opula while he shared the flutes amongst them. Ziu was the last person to receive his flute of wine. As soon as Ziu received it, he asked the bartender,
“What drink is this?”
“Moet, boss,” the bartender replied, bowing his head.
“Take it away, you idiot. I don’t take Moet, get me cocktail instead,” he commanded with a scowled look and threw a staern look at the billionaires, “Dint you guys tell him my brand?”
And the bartender stole a glance at Opula, before he parted to fetch his order. In less than few minutes the bartender returned with his order, gave it to him, and winked at Opula to confirm he had poisoned his drink, as they planned and agreed earlier.
