Upon hearing the noise, Calvin went to welcome Hansel into the room.
However, in the next moment, he saw Hansel… with Ingrid.
Wait a minute!
Calvin sucked in a breath.
“Hey, Cal,” Hansel said calmly.
“Hans, you’re here. Come sit…” He quickly poured Hansel a glass and served him some fruit.
Later that night, while Ingrid was in the bathroom, Calvin couldn’t stop himself from asking, “Hans, what’s going on? Didn’t you break up with her? Why did you bring her here?”
After two glasses, Hansel’s gaze was slightly glassy. “She’s still young. I’ll take my time. She might not be able to accept the fact if it’s too sudden.”
Calvin cringed when he heard that.
Seriously, were college students considered young? Hansel was seriously gullible!
“Well… what about Miranda? Do you not want her back anymore?”
If that was true, then Sam wouldn’t be jumping for joy right now.
At the mention of Miranda, Hansel’s heart squeezed. “Who said so?”
Calvin’s gaze shifted toward Ingrid. “Isn’t this… considered two–timing?”
“I’m not in a rush. Once I’ve settled things with Ingrid, I’ll try my best to make things up to Mimi.”
Calvin opened his mouth. He wanted to tell Hansel that time wasn’t going to wait for him. Once he was done settling his affairs, Miranda might have already run off with someone else.
However, seeing his assured face, Calvin chose to shut up and not probe further.
The party finally drew to a close around dawn.
Calvin was half–drunk, but he still forced himself to sign the bill. Then, the club staff helped him into his
car.
A designated driver took the wheel, promising to get him home safely.
Zach was faring much better. He hadn’t drunk much, but he had smoked a number of cigarettes, causing him to reek.
He had extended his stay at a suite at a five–star hotel nearby, so he could just head over from the club.
Only Hansel and Ingrid were left. The two of them stood by the side of the road, waiting for their designated driver.
Ingrid tentatively held onto Hansel’s muscular arm, pressing her body close to his like a baby bird. “Dear,
it’s so late. Shall we go straight back to your villa?”
What she meant was that she wanted to stay the night.

However, Hansel stayed silent. After a short pause, he said, “You have class tomorrow. I think it would be better if I sent you back to your dorm.”
Ingrid’s mouth tightened. Disappointment flashed in her eyes, but she still said, “Alright, if you say so.”
Only then did Hansel’s expression relax slightly.
After dropping Ingrid off outside the National University of Technology and watching her go inside, Hansel looked away calmly.
“Where should we go now, sir?” the driver asked.
Hansel looked out the window. Suddenly, he opened the door and said, “Drive my car home. I’ll just hang around in this area.”
As he walked around, he found himself outside the gates of Bedford College.
This place was all too familiar. Back then, while courting Miranda, he had frequently tried to catch her at these gates.
On good days, he would see her walk out the gates after ten minutes of waiting. On bad days, there were times he’d waited close to half a day, but he wouldn’t necessarily get to see her either.
Still, he had found joy in it. He never thought of it as troublesome or anything.
Crossing the narrow alleyways, he was now outside Miranda’s apartment building. Without any hesitation, he went straight upstairs.
The path was dark. He kicked several beer bottles and even stepped on garbage. Bearing the overwhelming stench, he finally arrived outside her door.
“Mimi, it’s me.”
