Chapter 305
Chapter 305
It was the first time Isaac talked about his parents. Patricia didn't know much about the Arnolds, so she pursed her lips. "I see." She held his hands tight. Every time he talked about his parents, he would get that sad look on his face. And even his hands felt cold. Thus, she held it tight to warm it back up.
Isaac noticed what she was doing, and he smiled. She's such a thoughtful lady. They were slowly building up an understanding; she wouldn't ask him any questions he didn't want to answer, and he wouldn't talk about anything she'd rather keep quiet about. It felt like something only couples who had been married for a long time could achieve.
Once they arrived at Spago, the driver opened the door for them. Isaac got out of the car and went around to help her out of the car. He placed one hand against the roof, much like what a gentleman would do.
The girls who went by them gasped.
"Oh my, he's hot and gentle."
"I'd love to be that lady."
Their praise didn't go unheard by Patricia. She smiled happily as she held his arm. Her heart filled with bliss and happiness.
Spago's boss came to welcome them himself. "Mr. Arnold, this way, please."
He then led them to Isaac's favorite room—Separation's Melancholy.
Seriously? A room that has 'separation' in its name? She looked at it and pouted. This just sounds sad. There's no way he can be happy eating at this place. She suddenly regretted not choosing somewhere else. I want him to have a happy dinner.
Once inside the room, the boss poured two cups of tea for them. "Here's your Earl Grey tea, Mr. Arnold." This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
Isaac nodded in acknowledgment. "For the main course, we'll have the usual, please."
The boss took a glance at Patricia and smiled. "She's beautiful."
"Thank you," Isaac answered. Obviously, he was good friends with the boss. Perhaps, they might even have had a cuppa whenever he came alone.
Before he left the room, the boss said, "Oh, right. Mr. Henderson is here as well. He's in the room next door. You guys usually come together. Want me to tell him you're here?"
"No. I just want to have dinner with her." It was a date, and he refused to have another person ruining it, not even if that man was his friend.
I see. The boss smiled and left the room.
The mention of Percy reminded Patricia of Darcie. It's been a few days since I called her, and she's still wondering when Percy's coming back. She pursed her lips and got up. "I need to use the bathroom.
Isaac saw through her, but he said nothing. Darcie was her friend, and Percy ran out on Poppy. Naturally, Patricia would step in.
She left the room and looked at the one next door. The moment she stepped inside, she saw Percy holding Darcie in his arms, kissing away. Her eyes went wide with shock, and she exclaimed, "Let her go!"
Darcie doesn't want this, but she won't say no. And that b*stard keeps pushing himself onto her. Look at her. She's almost undressed. If I had come a moment later, she'd have been assaulted.
Fury filled her mind. She wanted nothing more than to bash Percy's head in.
His brows furrowed. Frustration filled his heart, but he let Darcie go anyway.
Darcie quickly got up and straightened herself up. Her hair was messy, and her lips were swollen. She looked hauntingly alluring. "Tricia? Why are you here?" She quickly approached her friend and sat her down.
Patricia was disappointed. Darcie was usually a tough woman, at least a lot tougher than she was. But why does she let him do whatever he pleases?
