Your Love Is My Weapon

Chapter 417

Chapter 417

Jacob found that when he faced Xavier, his heart instinctively shuddered.

He looked at Xavier with an extremely serious expression. He knew what Xavier was worried about.

Anyway, Bridget was his sister. Suddenly, he was the one who got married to her.

"Bridget and I don't love each other, but we respect each other. I will never ask for a divorce without her

mentioning it."

Xavier took a sip of the wine and frowned slightly. It seemed that he was not very satisfied with Jacob's

answer.

Jacob looked at him timidly. "Well... in the future, since I have a wife. I will never play around outside."

It implied that he would never find another woman.

Although he didn't sleep with Bridget, he would fulfill the obligations as a husband.

Xavier looked at him for a few seconds, drank up the wine, put the glass on the table, and held his

shoulder. He didn't say anything, but it was like a thousand words.

He got up and stopped when he reached the door. "I'll go back to the company tomorrow. You can take

care of it."

He didn't want his sudden appearance at the company to cause a commotion, so he asked Jacob to

tell everyone in advance.

"I understand," Jacob said.

He finished the glass of wine Xavier poured for him and got up to follow him out. Xavier got into the car.

Today, he didn't plan to go anywhere but went home to accompany Arya.

Jacob stood at the door and watched Xavier get into the car.

Starting the car, Xavier didn't leave immediately. Instead, he rolled down the window and glanced at

him coolly. "Go to the Old Residence at night."

Jacob said, "Got it."

Watching Xavier leave, Jacob took out his phone and made a call to Bridget. He didn't know if Bridget All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

had already known that Xavier was back, so he had to tell her.

"It's me."

"I know," replied Bridget who was enjoying her breakfast.

"Do you know..." Jacob was afraid that if he told her out of the blue, she would get excessively excited.

"Know what?" said Bridget. As Jacob hesitated, she was already anxious.

"I'll tell you when I get back. Wait for me at home tonight. I'll pick you up at the Old Residence after

work."

"OK, I'll wait for you. Do you need anything? I'm at the mall. I'll buy it for you."

"No, thanks." In the past, he took care of himself. Suddenly, someone wanted to buy something for him,

so he couldn't get used to it so soon.

"Okay, I'll hang up," said Bridget as she hung up the phone and sat down.

After dinner, she went around again and bought a lot of things.

When she got home, she began to clean up the house. It turned out that there was only water in the

fridge. She put the fruits, snacks, some vegetables and meat into the fridge and placed them neatly.

Bridget spread a plaid waterproof tablecloth on the table with a bunch of flowers on it.

The pure gray sheets in the bedroom were changed and put into the washing machine. The light blue

sheets, which she bought today, and the edges were decorated with gold stripes were spread. In an

instant, the bedroom looked less monotonous. She also put a bouquet of flowers on the bedside

cabinet.

There was a faint fragrance in the room.

The cloakroom was full of Jacob's clothes. Suits and ties were everywhere. Bridget put them away and

arranged them according to their categories.

After cleaning up the cloakroom, the sheets in the washing machine were also done. She went to dry

the sheets. When she cleaned up the house, it was already three o'clock in the afternoon.

She lay down on the sofa to rest and she fell asleep unconsciously.

Jacob would come back early today and planned to tell her himself.

As soon as the door opened, he found that the room was different from usual. The curtains in the living

room were closed, and there were some green plants on the balcony. He walked in. The room was

cleaned by Bridget.

He took off his coat and saw Bridget sleeping on the sofa. Jacob didn't wake her up but went to close

the window. It was getting colder and colder every day in October. As if she had heard something,

Bridget's eyelashes moved. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Jacob. She rubbed her eyes and

said, "Hi."

As soon as she woke up, her voice was a little low and soft.

Jacob pursed his lips and answered, "Hi."

Bridget got up and picked up the coat. "Didn't you say we were going home? Now?" asked she.

Jacob said, "I'll change clothes."

In the afternoon, his suit jacket was stained with coffee. He threw the coffee-stained jacket into the

washing machine. He was used to doing these things himself.

Bridget put on her coat and said, "Leave it there. I'll wash it for you. Which one do you want to wear? I'll

bring it for you."

Jacob paused and looked at Bridget.

Bridget glanced at the stunned Jacob, frowned and said, "What's wrong?"

Jacob quickly shook his head. "Nothing."

Bridget lowered her eyes, smiled and said, "Are you not used to having a stranger at home?"

"No." Jacob denied it.

Bridget glanced at his white shirt and gave him a dark plaid suit jacket. "This goes well with your shirt."

Jacob took it over and saw that the originally messy cloakroom had been tidied up at this moment. The

coat, shirt, tie, belt, coat, everything was put together respectively, with them hung and folded. The

whole cloakroom was clean and bright.

Jacob glanced at Bridget and silently put on his coat. Bridget did not notice Jacob's gaze but asked, "Is

it cold outside? Do we need to wear a coat?"

"No, it's getting late. Let's go." Jacob walked to the door and stood still, waiting for Bridget to come out

first. Then he could close the door.

The two of them got into the elevator. As they went down, neither of them spoke and the atmosphere

was a little awkward.

Bridget deliberately looked for a topic to break the awkward atmosphere. She asked, "Well, did mom

ask us to go back?"
