Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 1028

"So, Dad, I can stay in Blencalgo without worry for now, right?"

As they say, experience came with age. His father's connections and resources were certainly more extensive than his own.

Sebastian had committed the offense in Melrine, but now he was back in Blencalgo. There was no extradition agreement between Melrine and Blencalgo, and Blencalgo had no law enforcement rights over him. Coupled with his background, he could escape any danger.

"I can help you this time, but next time, you'd better be more careful. If you're going to do bad things, don't let anyone have anything on you."

Sebastian lowered his head. "I understand. I'll be more careful next time."

Geoffrey's gaze lingered on him for a long moment before asking, "I heard you brought the child back."

Sebastian nodded. "Yes. Rose is staying there to finish her studies, so I thought I'd bring him back to take care of him. After all, I've been looking after him all this time."

"You really are something, raising another man's child. You seem quite eager about it."

"This is my child," Sebastian said seriously. "He has nothing to do with Theodore anymore. To me, bloodline doesn't matter. What matters is the time spent together, the day-to-day bonding. This child sees me as his father, so I'll naturally take care of him."

"You really are sentimental," Geoffrey scoffed coldly, "but you need to be careful. After all, he's someone else's child. What if one day, the child's mother changes her mind and decides to take him back? You will be surprised."

"That won't happen," Sebastian said firmly. "Don't worry, Dad. Both the child and Rose are mine. I'll do whatever it takes to defend them. I'll kill anyone who dares to take them from me!"

Sebastian's eyes were sharp, filled with an intense fire.

Geoffrey narrowed his eyes slightly, a cold smile hanging on his lips. It was unclear whether he was admiring or mocking Sebastian.

"Sebastian. If that day comes, remember to clean up after yourself. Don't leave any evidence behind."

Sebastian nodded. "I understand."

Theodore accompanied Rosalie for a health check-up.

She was suffering from postnatal anemia, and she had been very tired lately, which was why she almost fainted. She needed to stay in the hospital for an IV drip.

Theodore arranged a VIP room her. Rosalie insisted it wasn't necessary and that she could

In the ward, Theodore looked up at the half-empty IV bag. Rosalie was lying in bed, and her dizziness had eased significantly.

"Thank you," she said. "You don't need to stay here with me. I can manage by myself."

"I can't leave you alone right now. I don't trust Sebastian's people," Theodore argued.

"Whether you trust them or not, I've been married to him for a long time. Both my child and I are safe."

"Sebastian has fled back to Blencalgo. If he could come back to Melrine to take care of you, I'd leave," Theodore said.

"You know he can't come back," Rosalie replied. Sebastian would be wanted if he came to Melrine.

"So he can't come back now. I don't

until you're discharged, and I'll stay here with you. I won't say a word if you don't want me to."

Rosalie sighed softly. "Then it's up to you. You should know, this won't change anything."

"I'm not trying to change anything." Theodore stared silently at the IV drip in her hand.

Rosalie was momentarily stunned. She wanted to say something, but in the end, she fell silent.
