Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 1029

Chapter 1029

The sky gradually darkened.

By now, Rosalie's IV drip bag was empty.

She wanted to go to the bathroom. She had just gotten out of bed when Theodore stepped forward to support her.

Rosalie immediately pulled away from his arm, her tone cold. "I can manage."

With that, she carefully made her way to the bathroom, closed the door, and locked it.

Theodore felt helpless.

Later, she came out of the bathroom. She had finished washing up and returned to bed to lie down. "I'm going to sleep now. You can go back."

Theodore didn't say anything but sat down on the couch.

"Go ahead and sleep." He picked up a magazine, and began flipping through it.

Seeing his demeanor, Rosalie knew she couldn't change his mind. She turned to the other side, facing away from him.

Theodore put down the magazine and secretly watched her. He cautiously walked over and adjusted the blanket on her, then returned to sit on the couch.

Late at night, Rosalie's phone rang. It was a video call from Sebastian.

Rosalie glanced down at her hospital gown, and then looked around the room. Sebastian would definitely recognize this as a ward, and he would worry.

Just as she was about to get out of bed, Theodore came up to her, holding a coat. It was hers.

Theodore was expressionless. Rosalie took the coat from him, and he returned to the couch as if nothing had happened.

Rosalie didn't have time to think too much. She quickly put on the coat, sat on the edge of the bed, and replied to the video call. In the video, the wall behind her was visible, and she tried her best to keep any other images out of the shot.

As soon as the video call connected, a cute baby face appeared on the screen.

"Steve, look! This is Mommy. Say Mommy."

In the video, Steve blinked his big, shiny eyes that were filled with curiosity.

However, the child was too young to speak. If Rosalie wanted to hear him call "Mommy," she probably had to wait a few more months.

"Steve." As soon as Rosalie saw the child on the screen, her eyes instantly welled up with tears. Being so far away from him made her heart ache. She should have kept Steve by her side.

The more Rosalie thought about it, the more regretful she became. However, it was too late for regrets now. "Rose, we've arrived safely. Don't worry, Steve is doing fine. How are things on your side? Sebastian asked. "I'm fine here, don't worry," Rosalie replied.

"Okay. Once you finish your studies, we'll be able to reunite."

Rosalie looked at Sebastian's handsome face on the screen, but she couldn't shake the feeling of unfamiliarity. Thinking about the video Theodore had shown her, she felt a tightness in her chest. Why would Sebastian do such a thing?

"Rose, what's wrong? Why are you in a daze? Are you unwell?"

'No, I'm fine." To avoid Sebastian noticing her poor complexion, Rosalie had turned on a beauty filter so her skin appeared rosy. "I just miss Steve."

This excuse seemed plausible.

Sebastian appeared to believe her.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Rose, I know you miss him. Don't worry, I'll make sure to video call you every day so you can see him. I'll take good care of him. By the time you come back, he'll be healthy and chubby."

"Seb, are you sure you're not coming to Melrine before I finish my studies?" Rosalie asked.
