Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1747

Jackson gently cradled her face, a playful grin spreading across his lips as he brushed a soft kiss at the corner of hers. "Fiona, just hang in there a bit longer."

Hang in there a bit longer?

Fiona was instantly thrown off by that. Who waits around in a situation like this?

She was at a loss. Fiona had always been pretty green when it came to this stuff, and now Jackson's request for patience was spinning her mind in all sorts of directions.

Could it be that Jackson really had...issues?

"Can you really hold out, Jackson?" Fiona teased, tilting his chin with a flirty grin as she leaned in closer. "But Jackson, holding back like this must be tough on you."

Jackson's face was all frustration, but he stayed firm, showing no signs of giving in. He kept his cool and said, "It's alright, I can manage."

Fiona was nearly grinding her teeth in frustration. She hadn't expected Jackson to actually tough it out like this.

Could he really have a problem?

Fiona wasn't about to let that stop her; she was determined to have Jackson all to herself tonight.

The thought of that other woman had her confidence on the ropes and nearly drove her crazy.noveldrama

Jackson had to be hers!

Ah, the dreaded possessiveness.

"Fiona, just lay down and get some rest. I'm gonna grab a shower."

Fiona frowned as Jackson set her down on the small couch in the room, leaving some snacks on the coffee table before heading off to the bathroom, leaving her more puzzled than ever.

She couldn't wrap her head around the situation. Fiona turned to the internet, scouring for advice, but the online world was a mess of conflicting opinions, making it impossible to figure out what's real and what's not.

Love, it's such a tangled mess.

The more she thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. Taking a deep breath, she geared up to push

forward with her plan when Jasmine's video call interrupted. Fiona declined it without a second thought.

She didn't want any distractions stealing her focus right now!

But then she remembered Jasmine's crush on Tyler-maybe she'd have some insights.

Without missing a beat, she called

back. When Jasmine answered, Fiona quickly spilled the situation,

pleading for no laughter. But seeing Jasmine doubled over with giggles made Fiona regret spilling the beans.

Why did she even think talking to Jasmine was a good idea?

"Hold on, don't hang up," Jasmine managed through her laughter. "I'll bet

Jackson's in there taking a cold shower."

Jasmine was in stitches, unable to contain her amusement.

"If Jackson's a guy, he's definitely feeling something. If you don't believe me, wait

till he's out and check if the bathroom's cold."

Fiona actually considered it.

"I'm telling you, just go in there now. With things as they are, what's Jackson waiting for? If he's dragging his feet, he's really old-school," Jasmine teased non- stop.

Fiona found herself speechless at Jasmine's teasing, caught between the allure of the other woman and Jackson's request to wait, utterly exasperated.

"Why so quiet? Did I hit a nerve?" Jasmine teased, a mischievous glint in her eye as she thought up some crafty plan. "I've got a plan to help you win Jackson over!"

Fiona rolled her eyes, reluctant to dive into it.

"With the way it is between us, do I really need a plan?"

"Fiona, you're missing the point," Jasmine said, suddenly serious. "If Jackson ever strays, what will you do then? She seemed genuinely concerned, adding firmly, "Not that Jackson would ever do that, but it's always smart to be ready
