Chapter 800 Patrick, You Are Amazing Today
Hestia looked utterly confused, not understanding a word she was saying. She said, "Are you trying to steal my scene? Are you an actress? Are you the lead actress in this play? You're just a makeup artist. How dare you try to steal my scene?"
Hestia's words were domineering.
Cindy hung her head, her eyes shifting, and her tone sounded even more aggrieved, "Yes, I shouldn't have tried to steal your scene today. You're such a great actress, and your arm is injured, right? Valentin, you should give her a Best Dedication Award."
Now, everyone present could tell she was mocking Hestia.
Hestia's acting was already barely passable. If it weren't for her resemblance to the lead character in the play, Valentin would have replaced her long ago based on her usual performance.
Valentin had tolerated her until now, giving the producer some face.
Hestia also realized it. She glared at Cindy, "Valentin, she jumped down herself. It really has nothing to do with me."
Valentin frowned, looking troubled, "Hestia, everyone saw it. Besides, your assistant Dione initially shouted that you fell into the pool. But when everyone arrived, you were standing on the shore perfectly fine. Who wouldn't be suspicious?"
Hestia couldn't explain.
Hestia originally planned to jump down herself to frame Cindy, at least to get her out of the crew. Unexpectedly, Cindy saw through it and turned the tables.
"Honestly, I didn't push her. She really fell in herself." Hestia felt she couldn't explain it clearly.
Especially since Patrick had been silent since he came in. Although he didn't seem to favor Cindy, the way he looked at Hestia was very oppressive.
Hestia was usually intimidated by Patrick when acting. Today, she went to talk to him about the set couple, hoping to conquer him in bed so that Patrick would take care of her during filming.
Who knew Hestia's plan would backfire? Not only was she rejected, but Cindy also overheard.
Cindy cried hard, "I know I'm just a makeup artist, not as precious as you stars. Even if I'm bullied, I can only endure it alone. It's okay, I have no fame anyway."
Patrick was displeased when he heard this, "Who says you're not as precious as a star? Ms. Sharp, Cindy is here because of me. If she's wronged in the crew, I'm responsible. You should apologize publicly."
Hestia's eyes widened in disbelief at Patrick's cold face, "You want me to apologize? I didn't do anything. Why should I apologize?"
"You did nothing, and Cindy was forced to jump into the pool to protect herself. If you had done something, would she be dead by now?" Patrick's tone was aggressive.
Hestia was so shocked she trembled. She looked at Cindy, then at Valentin, and burst into tears, "I won't apologize. I didn't do anything wrong. Dione, are you just going to watch them bully me?"
Dione said tremblingly, "Hestia, apologizing won't hurt. Besides..."
Besides, Hestia originally went to teach Cindy a lesson, but Cindy turned the tables. It wasn't really unfair.
"Besides what?" Hestia interrupted her, "Do you all want to see me dead? Fine, just push me to the edge today."
Seeing the situation escalating, Valentin quickly stepped in to mediate, "Hestia, calm down. No one wants to push you to the edge. Just apologize. It doesn't have to be public, just among us. Apologize to Ms. Croix properly, and this will all be over."
Hestia sniffled, "I didn't do anything wrong. Why should I apologize to her?"
Cindy didn't expect her to be so arrogant. Even at this point, she stubbornly refused to admit it. She said, "Valentin, don't force Ms. Sharp. It's my fault. I shouldn't have played with stones by the pool, disturbing Ms. Sharp's enjoyment of the scenery. It's okay, I'll be more careful in the future."

Patrick glanced at her, his expression even colder, "Ms. Sharp, do you want to escalate this and let the whole country judge who's right and wrong today?"
Hestia was stunned.
She certainly didn't want to escalate it. It wouldn't do her any good. But being scolded by Patrick was very unpleasant. She bit her lip and said nothing.
Valentin said earnestly, "Just apologize, and it's over. Why escalate it? Don't we already have enough drama in our crew?"
Hestia gritted her teeth. She knew Patrick's attitude was so firm that if she didn't apologize today, there was no telling what he might do.noveldrama
Hestia had evidence in his hands.
Thinking of this, Hestia regretted provoking Patrick. She said, "Fine, I'll apologize."
She walked up to Cindy, stiffened her neck, and said, "I'm sorry, alright?"
Cindy's eyes curved up as she watched Hestia leave in a huff, feeling secretly pleased. "Alright, the matter is resolved. Patrick, take Ms. Croix back to rest." Valentin said, shaking his head as he left.
Cindy stuck out her tongue and turned to Patrick, "I didn't expect you to stand by my side. Thanks!"
"Let's go, time to go back." Patrick's expression darkened immediately. He took two steps, then turned back to stare at Cindy, "If I don't stand by your side, whose side should I stand on?"
"What?" Cindy was a bit confused.
Patrick heard her sneeze several times and suppressed his dissatisfaction. He grabbed her wrist, "Let's go."
"Okay." Cindy followed Patrick back to the makeup room. Along the way, people kept staring at them. She instinctively wanted to pull her hand back.
Patrick tightened his grip, "Don't move."
Cindy secretly looked at Patrick's profile. His cold lips were pressed into a straight line, and his cold face looked very unapproachable. She couldn't help but say, "Patrick, you were really amazing today."
He was amazing when he saved her, and amazing when he protected her!
Patrick glanced at her, seeing through her little thoughts. He said lightly, "Aren't I always?"
Cindy tilted her head and said, "When you bully me, you're really annoying."
Patrick misunderstood. Seeing fewer people around, he said, "When have I ever bullied you, except in bed?"
"This is a public place. Watch your words." Cindy pretended to shake off his hand but was pulled into the makeup room.
Ulysses went to the kitchen to make soup. Seeing the two come in, he quickly said, "Patrick, Cindy, I made some soup. Come and drink some, don't catch a cold."
Before he finished speaking, he heard Cindy and Patrick sneeze simultaneously. They looked at each other and couldn't help but laugh.
