Chapter 801 The Bite Mark Tattooed on the Collarbone

Theodore changed his clothes and came out. Phoebe was in the open office area, with employees reporting to her. She was surrounded by people, looking very dazzling.

He leaned against the wall and watched quietly. He didn't know how long he had been watching when Phoebe looked up and saw him. She walked towards him.

"Did you wash it all off?" Phoebe said, her gaze drifting to the back of his neck.

She didn't see any red paint, but he still had a smell of paint on him. She said, "Thank you for today."

"Phoebe, just saying thank you seems a bit insincere. How about treating me to dinner?" Theodore leaned against the wall, the light above casting a warm glow over him.

At this moment, he didn't seem aggressive, more like an ordinary man being playful.

Phoebe said, "Sure, what do you want to eat?"

Theodore lowered his eyelids and looked at her gently, "Come on, I'll take you somewhere."

Half an hour later, Phoebe followed Theodore into a supermarket. It was a weekday, so the supermarket wasn't crowded. She watched him skillfully push the cart towards the vegetable and food section.

She was a bit puzzled, "Didn't you want me to treat you to dinner? Why are we at a supermarket?"

"Restaurant food isn't always good. It's more meaningful if we cook ourselves," Theodore said.

Phoebe used to cook for him often, and her meals were better than anything he could get at a restaurant. After she left, he often missed that taste but could never find it again.

Phoebe was a busy person and didn't have much time to waste on grocery shopping and cooking, but today she did owe Theodore a favor, so it was good to repay it promptly.

"I think you're just using this as an excuse to get something in return."

Theodore wasn't angry, "If I really wanted something in return, I'd ask you to marry me. How about some salmon? Let's buy a salmon to cook."

"Okay." Phoebe walked over and asked the supermarket staff to weigh a salmon. She then went to the produce section to buy some side dishes and fruits.

"Do you often cook for yourself when you're abroad?" Theodore asked Phoebe, who was texting beside him while they waited in line to check out.

Phoebe looked up at him and said, "Rarely. I was very busy in Caneda and didn't have time to cook. My mom did most of the cooking."

"When did she go to Caneda?" Theodore often passed by Golden Apartment, thinking that if fate allowed, he would run into them.

But in three years, he never saw them once. Later, he found out they had moved to Caneda.

Phoebe didn't expect Theodore to talk about her family. She looked at him in surprise before speaking, "About a year after I went to Caneda. She was afraid I wouldn't come back, so she followed me there."

Theodore lowered his eyes, "I also thought you wouldn't come back."

Kedora was a place of heartbreak for her. He was worried she wouldn't return once she left. He had even decided to give her three years.

After three years, whether she had figured things out or not, he would reappear in her life. Whether by coaxing or force, he would bring her back to him.

Now that she was right in front of him, he wasn't in such a hurry.

They had many years ahead. He could slowly untangle her emotional knots, make her accept him again, and fall in love once more.

Phoebe smiled, "Kedora is my hometown. No matter where I go, I'll always come back here."noveldrama

Theodore looked at her quietly for a while. When the person in front of them finished checking out, he pushed the cart forward, and they placed their items on the counter.

As the items decreased, they both reached for a box of vegetables at the same time. They looked at each other, and Phoebe was the first to withdraw her hand. Theodore glanced at her and then looked away.

After checking out, it was already dark. Jack drove over to pick them up and took them back to Imperial Apartment.

Ollie was still at Phoebe's place, making the apartment feel empty and lifeless.

Phoebe changed into slippers and saw Theodore carrying the groceries into the kitchen. She walked in, put her bag on the sofa, and saw him coming out of the kitchen.

"I'm going to take a shower first. The paint smell is too strong," Theodore said as he walked, untying his tie.

"Okay, go ahead." Phoebe rolled up her sleeves and walked into the kitchen. Everything felt familiar. The kitchen utensils were still in the same place, making it easy for her to use them. It felt as if she had never left.

The kitchen was filled with a delicious aroma. Theodore came out after his shower and leaned against the kitchen door, "Smells great. I haven't had your salmon in years."

His words brought back memories for both of them. Phoebe forced a smile, "The salmon will be ready soon."

Theodore walked in, reached past Phoebe, and took the utensils from the sterilizer. Phoebe was about to take the salmon out when Theodore came back and took it from her, "Let me do it."

Phoebe stepped back and didn't insist, watching him carry the salmon out. She felt a bit dazed.

When they were together before, she never dared to ask him to help with the utensils at home. Their relationship wasn't equal back then.

But now, they seemed like an ordinary couple, coming home after a busy day. She cooked while he set the table. Theodore was no longer so cold.

"What are you standing there for? Come eat," Theodore said, looking back to see her standing in the kitchen doorway, staring at him.

Phoebe snapped out of it and walked to the dining table. She saw that he had placed the food on one side. She paused for a moment and then sat down beside him. Theodore waited for her to sit before starting to eat the fish. The fish was tender and melted in his mouth. He looked very satisfied, "Delicious. I've been missing this taste for years. It's not easy to finally have it again."

Phoebe turned her head to look at him.

Theodore was wearing a silk robe, with the top three buttons undone, revealing his collarbone and a shadow on it.

She had noticed it last time but thought she was mistaken. Now, looking closely, she realized it wasn't a shadow but something like a tattoo. The shape seemed very familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere before.

She remembered that he didn't have this on his collarbone before.

Phoebe raised her hand and pointed, "What's that on your collarbone? A tattoo?"

Theodore looked down, and his collar was pulled open further. Phoebe saw clearly that

it was indeed a tattoo, and it looked like a bite mark.

He tugged at his collar to cover the tattoo, looking a bit uncomfortable, "Yeah, it's a tattoo."

Phoebe heard his casual tone but knew he wasn't someone who would randomly get a tattoo. So why did he get a bite mark tattoo in such a visible place?
