Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 1130

Chapter 1130:

“‘You’ll stay at home and keep quiet from now on,’” Colton ordered, his tone sharp and unyielding. “‘If you stir up any more trouble, I’ll have no problem filing for divorce sooner than planned. The child? We don’t need to keep it either.’”

Melany froze in place.

Had she heard him right?

He actually wanted to end the marriage even earlier?

And the child—he didn’t care about it at all?

It hit her then that Colton’s anger was no act. Covering her swollen cheek, she gazed at him with tears brimming in her eyes.

“‘Colton, I’m sorry! I dragged you into that mess today. I swear I won’t let it happen again,’” she pleaded, her voice trembling.

Melany’s heart raced with panic.

“‘But I only did it for you,’” she continued. “‘I wanted to help secure Mr. Morgan’s cooperation. I never thought I’d end up being tricked. I was just too naive to see through Abram’s lies.’”

Melany reached out to grab Colton’s hand.

He shoved her away without a hint of hesitation.

She didn’t seem to care, though. Instead, she clung to him desperately, refusing to let go.

“‘Are you really so cold-hearted that you don’t even care about our child?’” she cried, her voice breaking as tears streamed down her face. “‘If that’s how you feel, I might as well get rid of it right now!’”

Colton, already on edge, noticed the wild look in her eyes and realized that he had gone too far with his words. But he didn’t back down.

His gaze hardened as he stared at her.

“I’ve been going over the company’s accounts recently,” he said, his voice sharp and cutting. “It turns out, you’ve been sneaking money to your parents behind my back. If you want to end the pregnancy now, go ahead. But you’d better think long and hard about how you’ll deal with the fallout—and how you plan to pay that money back.”

Colton’s icy demeanor was a far cry from the man he used to be. Melany stared at him, stunned and unable to believe what she was hearing.noveldrama

“‘You… you knew all along?’” she stammered, her voice trembling.

She had convinced herself that she’d covered her tracks perfectly. But Colton had actually been aware the entire time.

“‘So, I suggest you think twice before making any rash choices,’” he said, his tone as cold as his eyes.

There was no trace of love in his gaze anymore—only the disdain reserved for someone he utterly loathed.

“‘I’m sorry. I had no other option,’” Melany said through gritted teeth, her voice low and reluctant.

“‘You know how reckless my parents are with money. I had no choice but to help them,’” she continued, her appearance fragile and helpless.

“‘But don’t worry—I’ll pay you back someday.’”
