The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 179 Teddy's Blind Date

Allison flopped onto the sofa the second she got into her hotel room, completely wiped out.

Alexander watched her, half worried, half amused. "Why don't we head home? Jessa and Liliana have whipped up a feast, just waiting for you."

Allison thought about it. She'd been gone for two days; it was definitely time to go home.

"Alright, let's go. We should check out anyway; no point in holding up their business," she said.

Alexander chuckled, messing up her hair. "The top floor's not open to the public. It's reserved for the Shaw family and their friends. But Carl's not their friend, so they can charge him a bit."

Allison rolled her eyes at him, clearly annoyed.

Alexander just smiled and took her home.

Once they got there, Allison headed straight for a bath and then crashed, too tired to even notice Alexander putting ointment on her bruises.

When Alexander came downstairs, he saw Teddy had just shown up.

Teddy couldn't resist a dig. "Back from the hotel, Alexander? Two days without coming home, huh..."

Alexander shot him a deadly look.

Teddy, seizing the rare chance to tease Alexander, swaggered over and flopped onto the sofa. "I heard you and your fiancée got a room, but you came back after just two days. Can't keep up, old man?"

Alexander grabbed Teddy by the collar and dragged him into the study, slamming the door behind them. "Let's see if you want to test that theory!"

Teddy's yelps soon echoed from the study.

Liliana came out of another room, shaking her head. "Those two, always at it. Aren't they a bit old for this?"

Jessa, carrying a tray of fruit, was unfazed. "Teddy deserves it. Three years without a word, making me cry my eyes out. He needs a good beating."

Liliana couldn't help but laugh.

When Alexander finally tossed Teddy out of the study, Teddy had a couple of fresh bruises on his face, looking quite the sight.

"Mom, Liliana, Alexander just gave me a good old-fashioned beating. I think I need some serious sympathy here," Teddy whined.

Jessa scoffed. "He went easy on you. Be glad your father's too busy to deal with you; otherwise, you'd be bedridden."

Teddy felt completely wronged, but none of the elders showed any sympathy.

Liliana noticed Allison hadn't come down and asked, "Is Allison still resting?"

Alexander nodded. "She's exhausted. She went straight to sleep and probably won't wake up until evening."

Teddy grumbled to himself, 'You wore her out like that? Alexander, you have no idea how to treat a woman.'

"We'll wait for Allison to wake up before having dinner," Jessa decided.

Teddy protested, "No way! I haven't had lunch yet. Why should I wait for her?" Jessa gave him a stern talking-to. "Teddy, you don't get it. Alexander finally has a girlfriend, and we need to treat her well. Besides, you weren't planning to eat here anyway. Remember? You have a date in half an hour. There are six in total. I sent the schedule to your phone. Now get going!"

Teddy was horrified at the thought of back-to-back dates. He'd rather be back at the base.

But there was no escaping; Alexander had even assigned two bodyguards to make sure he didn't run off.noveldrama

Teddy was on the verge of losing it.

"Don't come back until you've finished all your dates, got it?" Jessa added sternly. With a look of despair, Teddy trudged off.

Aiden came home for dinner, thrilled to hear Teddy was out on dates. "Finally! It'll be interesting to see which girl will be crazy enough to date him!"

"Dad, come on! Teddy's a catch! Any girl would be lucky to have him." Jessa defended her son, despite his flaws.

"The Carter men are fine, of course. But where's Allison? I haven't seen her in two days; I miss her," Aiden said.

Alexander scoffed. "She's my fiancée, Dad. You don't need to miss her so much."

Aiden smacked Alexander's back. "Stop talking nonsense. I'm just concerned. Did you know Allison is a postdoctoral researcher at the Academy of Sciences? A postdoc! I'm starting to think you're not good enough for her."

Jessa dropped her apple in shock, and Liliana shared her amazement. Alexander, however, remained unfazed.

Aiden noticed and realized Alexander had known all along.

"Dad, are you sure? The Academy of Sciences? And a postdoc? Allison is incredible! Alexander, you really don't measure up," Liliana exclaimed.

Jessa nodded in agreement, but then asked, "Dad, is Allison really that amazing?"

Aiden laughed. "Absolutely. Do you think I'd lie? Hayden must be kicking himself right now for losing such a gem. Allison is an amazing kid, yet..."

Alexander then explained to Jessa and Liliana what had transpired in the past few days. "Hayden wants to take Jasper abroad and never return," Alexander said.

Aiden snorted. "Hayden's always been a schemer. Marrying into the Bishop family but never admitting it. Now look at the mess he's made. We should follow Allison's lead on this."

Alexander nodded in agreement.

Allison slept until 7:30 PM. When she woke up, the room was dark. She reached for her phone but instead touched someone.

"Awake?" Alexander asked, lifting her and turning on the bedside lamp.

"Why are you in bed with me, Alexander? What if someone sees us?" Allison protested. Alexander chuckled, kissing her forehead. "This is my room. No one will come in. Besides, no one cares about that. Relax."

"No way. I'm moving to a guest room. It's inappropriate, especially with Mia on this floor," Allison insisted.

Alexander conceded. "Alright, I'll be more careful. Now, get up and freshen up. You need to eat something."

Allison nodded and moved her shoulder, wincing in pain.

"Still hurts?" Alexander quickly held her close.

Allison nodded, leaning into his embrace and pouting. "It hurts so much. I don't want to move."

Alexander picked her up and carried her to the bathroom, where he used a towel to wash her face.

When they went downstairs, he was still carrying her, much to Allison's embarrassment.

"Alexander, put me down! If you keep this up, I'll move to an apartment," she threatened.
