The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Alexander helped Allison down to the second floor, holding her hand as they made their way down the stairs.

When they got to the living room, Jessa and Liliana, who were watching the news, perked up.

"Allison, you're awake! How are you feeling? Hungry?" Jessa called out. "Felicity, bring out the food! Allison's up!"

Felicity rushed out from the kitchen with the dishes, and Allison and Alexander sat down to eat.

"Start with some soup. Felicity's been simmering this chicken broth for hours," Alexander said, trying to feed Allison.

Allison shook her head, embarrassed. "I'm not a child, Alexander. I can feed myself."

Jessa and Liliana chuckled at her reaction.

Liliana said, "No need to be shy around us. Alexander said your shoulder isn't fully healed yet. It's okay if he helps you."

Allison shook her head again, insisting, "I'm fine, Liliana, really."

She then took the utensils from Alexander and began eating on her own.

Just as they were finishing up, Teddy burst in, looking a mess.

"Teddy, it's not raining outside. Why are you all wet?" Liliana asked, raising an eyebrow.

Liliana took a closer look and laughed. "It's not water. It's red wine. Judging by the color, it's less than twenty years old."

Teddy plopped down next to Liliana, grinning. "You've got an eye, Liliana. It's a fifteen- year-old red, all over me. There goes half a month's salary."

Jessa sighed, already guessing the outcome. "Another failed date, huh? You should take a leaf out of Alexander's book. Look at his fiancée-she's wonderful."

Fiancée? Teddy turned, and his jaw dropped when he saw Allison. "Allison? What are you doing here? Why are you in my house?"

Teddy leaped up from the sofa.

Allison paused mid-bite, looking at him in surprise. Had he lost his mind?

As Teddy moved toward Allison, Alexander grabbed him. "What's gotten into you?"

Teddy thought in shock, 'Allison is Alexander's fiancée? What the hell?'

"Sit down, Teddy. Let's talk this out," Allison suggested.

Jessa exchanged a look with Liliana. They hadn't realized Allison knew Teddy.

Teddy's eyes were red with anger as he glared at Alexander. "It must be him. He must have bullied you, right? Alexander, you old man, Allison is so young. How could you do this to her, you bastard!"

Teddy lunged at Alexander, and they started to tussle.

Allison was stunned. What was going on?

Aiden came in, bewildered by the scene. "Stop it! Both of you, knock it off! This is unbelievable—an uncle and his nephew fighting! Both of you, stand still!"

Aiden, furious, began hitting them with his cane.

Allison quickly intervened. "Aiden, please don't be angry. There's a misunderstanding here. Let's talk it out."

Jessa and Liliana pulled Teddy away, and everyone sat down.

Teddy, tears in his eyes, glared at Alexander. "Alexander, you old man, you're not good enough for Allison. She's amazing. How can she marry you? You're robbing the cradle!" Alexander was really frustrated with Teddy, but he kept his cool in front of Allison.

"Teddy, our relationship is completely normal. There's nothing inappropriate going on. I met him in Avalon City when he was being chased, and I saved him!" Allison explained patiently to Teddy.

Hearing that Alexander had nearly lost his life saving Allison, Teddy quieted down.

However, Teddy still wasn't convinced. "But I still don't get it. Allison is so wonderful- young, beautiful, talented. What do you have? Besides money, what do you offer?"

For once, Alexander was at a loss for words. Teddy had a point. Apart from his wealth, Alexander didn't have many commendable qualities.

The elder Carters were secretly pleased to see Alexander taken down a peg but didn't show it.

Allison, unsure what to say, waited for Alexander's response.

He finally spoke, "I have money, but you don't. I can provide Allison with a comfortable life. Anything she wants, I can give her. Can you?"

Teddy wanted to argue back, but Alexander had hit a sore spot. Teddy might be more knowledgeable than Alexander, but he didn't have his wealth. Teddy was seething with

anger.

Finally, he accused, "You... you're bullying me!"

"So what? I'm your elder. Is this how you treat your elders? Where's your respect?" Alexander retorted.

Teddy, still fuming, looked at Allison with disappointment. "Allison, you're only eighteen. There are plenty of men out there. Why settle for Alexander? And if anyone asks, just say you don't know me."

Allison laughed and sat beside Teddy. "I know you all care about me, but I trust my choice."

Just then, Griffin stormed in, furious. "Teddy, you idiot! You've disgraced us. Do you even hear yourself?"

Griffin hurled his shoe at Teddy, narrowly missing him.

Jessa quickly intervened. "What happened this time? What did he do?"

Griffin, shaking with rage, pointed at Teddy. "He told the girl he's planning to move to Mars next year and that he's already started packing."

Allison's eyes widened in shock. Teddy had really gone to extremes to avoid the date. "Wow, Teddy, that's one way to scare someone off!" Alexander said, smirking. Jessa, furious, grabbed Aiden's cane and whacked Teddy's back. "Are you trying to sabotage this? This is not a joke!"
