Alpha's Second Chance

When I wake up, I keep my eyes closed for a while, but then I remember where I am and open my eyes. Today, my search for Mia begins.

I get up and get dressed in my training leggings, which have four pockets, a long Tank top, and a hoodie tied around my waist. When I am dressed, I take on my sneakers. I put my phone in one pocket and the new map in another, and then I grab my bag and walk downstairs. I find Kate and Kyle in the kitchen already.

"You know, being on vacation, you are allowed to sleep in," I say and giggle

"We wanted to make sure you had breakfast and a hug before you leave," Kate says, setting a plate on the table with eggs, bacon, bread, and some fruit.

"Thank you," I say as I sit down and eat.

"Alpha Leo asked me to give you this number and tell you that if you need anything, you can call him. He would appreciate it if you could send him a text so that he has your number in case he finds out more for you." Kyle says, and I nod my head.

"Yes, it is a good idea. I will do it right away," I tell him, then find my phone and send a text message.

I clicked send, and put my phone back into my pocket and ate my food before getting up.

"I should get started," I say and they also stand up, and follow me outside, and Kate hands me a small bag.

"I packed a few sandwiches and a bottle of water. But also a few chocolate bars." She tells me and smiles at me.

"Thank you, and thank you both for coming here with me. You are making it easier to begin this," I say and give Kate and Kyle a hug.

"You are welcome, sweetheart," Kyle says.

I smile again at both of them and then I turn around and start walking. I had studied the road I was going to take for most of the day.noveldrama

I have walked for a good four and a half hours, so I sit down and take a break, drinking some water and eating half of one of my sandwiches. I look at the map and the towns Alpha Leo had highlighted, and I am headed to one of the smaller ones. It is a town where only wolves live, so I should be able to find some rest there.

When I reached the town, I was surprised to find that it was just a small, quiet place. It is nice and calm here. I walk down what is the main street. I stop when I hear someone say my name.

"Miss Rose." A voice says behind me, and I turn around to see a man waiting. "Yes, that's me," I say and smile, and he smiles back.

"Welcome to Lodi. Alpha Leonardo told us you would probably make it here today." He tells me and bows his head.

"It took a little longer than I expected, but yes. He told me this would be a good place to start," I say, and he nods.

"I am Massimo. My father used to be the right hand of Alpha Antonio before their territory was attacked and lost. Alpha Leonardo's dad, Alpha Bane, who I believe was the one talking with your Dad, King Logan, talked with my dad about a woman you are looking for." He told me, and I smiled.

"To be honest, I don't know who my dad talked to. I was just told starting here would be the best idea." I say and smile at him, and he laughs.

"Typical Alphas, sending people on a goose hunt to find what you are looking for." He chuckles. And I laugh, too.

"Alright, I promised Alpha Leo that you could sleep at my house while you are here. My mate has been cooking," he says, and I smile.

"Thank you, it's very kind of you," I say and follow him when he starts walking.

When we get to his home, his mate, Pippa, smiles and gives me a hug, then urges me inside to get food and rest. They both seem like good people. It is a nice home, with a feeling of warmth and love. If I am not wrong, Pippa is pregnant.

While we were eating, we talked about all sorts of things, and I asked Massimo if

he knew anything about Mia because he is about seven years older than me. So

he must have been a kid when Mia came to Italy.

"I have to be honest and say that I do not remember her. She was never someone I saw around my family. And when the territory was

some sympathized with the

attackers, but most went to Alpha Bane, who was the alpha back then. And Alpha Alexander, or Alex as he is called.” Massimo tells me.

"Let me guess, the Alpha of the last territory was the one that attacked?" I ask, and Massimo nods his head. Alpha Carlos hated Alpha Antonio, and he felt like Antonio had stolen his chance for a family.

"Why?" I ask.

"The two Alphas were mated to the same she-wolf, and in the end, she chose Alpha Antonio, and Carlos hated him for that,” he tells me.

"So he killed them all," I say.

"Yes, but he waited for years, and then he killed his Mate and their children. Alpha Antonio went mad and disappeared. Most people think that he is dead now, But others think he is out there somewhere, choosing to live like a wild wolf." Massimo says.

After Dinner, I am shown to a room where I can stay for a few days, and I am so

tired. So I quickly fall asleep after a shower and change into something to sleep

in.
